I have never never bought from TW. Their prices were high in the past and I din't like their business practices. They have been under new leadership for a while now, so all that may have changed.
I'm not a fan at all of their liquid but their starter kit prices seem very reasonable to me. I'm just a little skeptical as to their overall quality.

Though I personally am not a patron, they have been around for a long time and I have read many positive comments about their services.
Like any business there will be those with less than positive experiences. It is in the odds.
There are literally hundreds of small, mom & pop, web based business doing their best to support the vaping community. Some grow into full time careers while others remain deliberately small and part time. Most deserve some positive recognition.

One of the first B&M shops in my town became a Totally Wicked franchise a couple years ago. On a corporate level, TW may be very active in vapers' advocacy. I don't know. But on the local level, this particular shop is not. Consequently, they are not as well respected in our local vape community as the other shops who are very active.

My first 510 connection purchase was a Totally Wicked starter kit after using SafeCig.

This was back in 2012 (I think) and it was a set of ego batteries and those little atomizer units that was housed in the cone. The liquid was filled in the mouthpiece. Obviously that a rebranded product, but I loved it.

Once I started to buy their ego tanks I wasn't really satisfied and moved. Their stuff worked fine, but you can get very similar products from other sites for a better price in my opinion.

The forum was fine, but once I found out about other products I posted a link to a non TW product and was turned off a bit when the post was deleted. It makes sense to talk exclusively about their products, but learning about other things made my vaping experience much better.

My first vape back in 2013 was a TW Tornado (Volcano?) and it got me off the cigs immediately, so I hold it in high regard despite not being very reliable compared to what I have today. It started acting quirky after a few months, so I moved on. I also tried some of the TW DIY liquids, they vaped well, but most of the TW flavors at that time just didn't appeal to me.

This thread got me curious, so I just dug my old TW out of the closet, hit the button, and lo and behold, I was able to take a vape. Pretty impressive, I thought, but I wasn't able to replicate the feat even with the passthrough. Now I remember why I moved on... I put it on charge anyway, it might come in handy for the vapocalyse if I can troubleshoot it.

Their customer service is excellent. Their e-liquid flavours are average, generic and over-priced. The hardware they sell is re-branded stuff available elsewhere for half the cost.
I used them when i first starting vaping and before i discovered buying direct from China. Never had a problem with any products.
I would recommend them as a solid retailer with good customer care and fast shipping. However, there are very much cheaper options available. And the branding is tacky and puerile !!

Thanks for the feedback. I recently bought my first Mod (I Leaf 60W) and am looking to purchase a backup tank/battery setup. Can you give me some websites of cheaper options? You mentioned direct from China which sounds great. I buy sports jerseys from a site that's direct from China at around 65% less.

By comparison:

They sell 50ml of 7.2mg nicotine solution for £20, which is £400 a liter.
The UK supplier I use sells 1 liter of 7.2mg for £60. Even if you factor in the bulk discount, that's quite some difference. Tacky and puerile branding...:)

Fasttech.com and 3fvape.com are two Chinese suppliers that I use regularly.

Thank you, I'll check those out.

Ok, I looked at those 2 sites you suggested. What would you recommend as a backup Mod setup, bearing in mind that I'm pretty much brand new to Mods? Some people have suggested the Kanger Subbox setup and at this point I'm not ready to actively pursue rebuilding.
