Anybody that participated in the holiday flavor naming contest knows my dislike for fruitcake. Maybe dislike isn't the right word, I need something stronger... contempt? Disdain? Repugnance? I don't know, they all seem to fit. I have never in my life had a fruitcake that I would desire a second helping of. In my world, fruitcakes gifted to me are accepted with a smile and a thank you, then stored next to the clay pigeons, to be taken to the range, tossed into the sky and blown to bits with a 12 gauge load of shot.

Now let it be known our beloved Annette, the sweet mixologist we all love and adore, has a rare sense of humor, or a mean streak, or just a whimsical nature. (Annette, I hope you don't mind me quoting your personal communication with me!) On the packing slip for my last order, there's a note saying "+1 Christmas Stollen". Sure enough, there it is, a nice little sample bottle bearing the words "Christmas Stollen" IE: the first dreaded fruitcake of the year. Well, at least it's small and will toss well and probably be more exciting to watch disintegrate than dry fruit and dense cake. Soon thereafter, I find myself chatting online and mention the fruitcake and she replies that I could always re-gift it. Ha. You funny. It's been my policy that friends don't give friends fruitcake.

It's been a week or so now since getting the gift, so I say to myself why not try it? I mean, don't waste a clearomizer on it, just put it in a fresh boge carto, it won't be that big of a loss.

I must give it up for Annette. This is the first fruitcake I've ever had (and I do mean EVER) that I don't want to destroy in an explosive fashion. I haven't vaped much of it and I'm not that good at describing flavors, but this juice will not be having a one way trip to the range. I seem to taste something similar to the tangerine dreamsicle in it, but there's something else in there... certainly not like any fruitcake I've had before.

Thanks, Annette, you're the best!
