I tried an absolutely spectacular new stout today...

2013-12-04 20.52.03.jpg

It was like eating a meal. It was very dark, heavy, sweet, high alcohol content, and completely satisfying.

Tribeca didn't touch my palate after drinking this. I had to crank up the VVB and hit on some Turkish. The Turkish worked, but it was a struggle. I need a stronger tobacco for this.

Not sure if I mentioned it, but this beer is absolutely amazing!

I don't always drink beer, but when I do, I prefer...

Well, it is usually not Dos Equis. :) This is a little off topic (I hope that won't get me excommunicated), but if you are a fan of craft beer, you should check out our beer in the Pacific Northwest. There is a very large concentration of microbreweries in Oregon and Washington, and you will never be at a loss to find a good porter or stout. We also have several brewers festivals every year where you are able to sample the latest offerings. In other words, once you try our beer, you probably will never be able to drink commercial beer again.
I think an e-juice based on a nice, creamy oatmeal stout would be nice. Hint, hint, Halo. :toast:

I like beer, but not ones I hafta chew...

A few good microbrews around here, but this is wine country, and Millbrook Winery has this killer Cabernet Franc. Haven't vaped long enough to have much vape/booze experience, but soon, I'll have to adjust my blood alcohol levels. It is the Holidays.

But I drink beer; I'm into blondes.

Oh, and Stella or Wartsteiner. And Torque or Prime does well.

We are Halon.

Sorry, but during the winter I like a heavy stout. In the summer I like lagers and bocks, and I have a weakness for a particular wheat (although not a big ale fan at all)... Blue Moon... I know it is a little girly, but it is very refreshing.

A good buddy of mine is bringing some Lion Stout after work tonight. He said it is his favorite stout right now. Anxious to give it a taste.

We have a local brewery that does a similar Chocolate Stout around this time of year. Beer trucks get followed on deliveries for people to get their hands on the limited edition brew. Too insane for me to jump on that bandwagon but the brewery also has some good premium beers. "Tank 7" and "The Sixth Glass" are damn fine beers from them and not a limited production brew so they're readily available. Otherwise, there's a local restaurant/brewery that sells the beer fresh and therefore unpasteurized. They have a beer made of lemon grass and rye that's outstanding.

I'd think with your drink a peppery or spicy vape would be a nice compliment. Something that would bring out the nuanced flavors that sometimes get lost in such a bitter beer.

Any suggestions on a spicy peppery vape?

I'd think a clove if you can stand it. There's some tobacco flavors with pepper nuances.

Or a Perique

Maybe you could get something with a little plum in it. I'm afraid something too sweet would highlight the bitterness of the stout. But stouts have a little fruitiness tucked under that toasty bitterness so getting something a little fruity might compliment it well.

just pour some mace into your tank...nothing wrong with that plan whatsoever.

Not as much kick as I expected, but it was a decent vape. It was a little tangy for my tastes...

Actually really enjoyed Voodoo with it. A buddy of mine just finished brewing a nice oatmeal stout and some sort of porter. We had a little taste tasting last evening and both were very nice. He could have filtered the stout a bit better, but it was solid. I also brought over a 4 pack of that black stout and everyone enjoyed that as well. He asked to try my Triton and I struggled to get it back from him. He loved the output and the Voodoo as well.
