Hello there people...I made a batch of this diy and thought maybe someone would be interested in it. I really like it but it has only been one day since I made it. I'm sure it will get better with some steeping. It has that floral tone to it which is similar to the bwb 555 and honey flu. In my opinion it taste similar...I have not tasted the bwb in about 2 weeks and that was the only time I have had it.

RTS 100MG UNFLAVORED NIC PG BASED
RTS PG AND VG
TPA DK tobacco
TPA HAZELNUT

I made a 10ml batch
desired strength 20mg

Nic 2ml
Pg 4.8ml
Vg 1.6ml
DK tobacco .8ml
Hazelnut .8ml

I think if you like that floral note somewhat this can be something you might like.

Did you find the DK tobacco base to have a really nasty smell in it's pure form, or is it just me? I just got mine and I made a batch and thought it was awful... But maybe I'm using too much? Not sure.

Hello there, Not at all...It has that floral smell to it. Do you have perfume's apprentice? I used both ingredients from tpa or should I say, I actually bought them from the diy shop which I am certain they are the same. Did you smell it before you mixed it or after the batch was made?

Yeah. I got mine from the Perfumer's Apprentice and smelled it before I mixed it and after. I got the flavoring, so I still have a bit of that left. I think it smells nasty. I'm not a fan. I also got Kona Coffee and it's even worse. I cut down the tobacco percentage drastically and it helped.. But I still don't care for it.. and No matter what I do to the Kona coffee, I still want to rip my tongue out after I try it, so I'm done trying to experiment with that. It's just too nasty.
However, I got Honeysuckle and French Vanilla from the same place and I do like those. I guess it just depends.

I am going to have to change my mind on my op...The juice is not to me at least not as good as when I first tried it. I am finding that to be true on almost every batch I make. I love the juice and then I sort of like it. In the end, I pretty much hate it. I cannot come up with anything yet that I would actually mix the second time.

I think you need at least a hundred flavors to try because who knows really what you might like. I thought I would love tobaccos with something sweet, but I have not found anything that I like.

I am going to have to try some tobacco and fruit combos...I know when all is said and done, I am going to wind up be a snickerdoodle man...lol...It is soooooo hard to diy something really good in my opinion...I can mix anything and it will satisfy my addiction, but I am looking for something that taste great. So difficult!

If you smell Tabacco flavors you will think that you would never taste that on your juices, but its just how it is. Once you mix with a Base and w/e it will loose its scent.

As far as the smell is concerned I noticed that the steep proceed helps a lot too.

My last recipe: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/e-liquid-recipes/256802-ry4-5-sh.html is using 3 different tabacco flavors but the smell is not bad at all!

Tobaccos need at least a week to steep before you actually know what it tastes like. Its best not to post a recipe here until you get it fully worked out since im sure you dont want to let anyone down trying it . I dont want to come off the wrong way and i know when you start you cant wait to post a great recipe ,i was the same but you should really only post a finished recipe when you are sure its great and finished . When you make one that you really really love and have been vaping for a while after steeping then you will know its time to run here and share the recipe . Please dont take it like im trying to be mean or anything , you will create good ones that are share worthy they just cant be rushed . They need time to be worked out and it will help everybody be able to come to this section and make a recipe they can be sure it good . I make good ones all the time but i only post the really great ones .

Do you have any BWB tobaccos ? If so try using one of them as your base and adding EM(cotton candy) to it . Its makes for a simple but good diy RY4 mix .Tobaccos are very hard to work with even for people that have been DIY'ng for a long time . Experiment little by little until you find something that works . You can make many 3ml batches which wont run down your supply to much and learn a lot in the precess .You may want to get a good quality pipe tobacco or snus and steep your own . I see lot of people going that route with good results .

Its not only you. I have DK Tabacco flavor here and it seems to be really strong. I have the TPA DK Tabacco here. (notice that I said its strong as pure flavor only).

Mixed with a base its not that strong, its good for me actually.

I know that dk tobacco is very strong...I just made a batch with 5 % dk and 5% caramel...the dk totally overwhelms the flavor...what do you think is a better percentage so the caramel comes out a little...I really the dk but I want to have a hint of the sweet creams I mix. thanks

Thanks for the info, you are right...I really rushed it because I tasted that bwb floral note thinking I had something good when all the time it was just the PA DK TOBACCO. The hazelnut was nowhere in sight. I have to use less dk when mixing to bring out the other flavor. It overpowers all the batches.

@Str8: I am vaping my own juices all day and I let them steep for at least 2 days before I even start to use them... So I can say if they changed in taste from one day to another, but so far, so good. Seems that the flavor will change more in 100% VG but for PG its fine and didnt notice any changes after the 4rd day. Its important to consider that I am using the "hot water" method to mix the juice so Its helping a lot and the steeping process is taking less than a week for me. What about you Str8, you just mix and let them steep by 1 week?

Frank, let us know if your recipe changed in taste after a couple days, that might be important for some, and not that important to others. Thanks for sharing again!

Thanks for the info...I use the hot water method right after I make the batch and I use a 70/30 pg/vg ratio with pg nic

NP, but just to clarify that the "hot water method" was posted by someone else here in the forum and I am just using this method and it really works :D

This is where I read it also, I place the batch in very hot water until it cools off, but I only do it once...don't know if you are supposed to do it more?

Well.. I am using VG base, so what I do is to put the base and flavors in the measure cup, put the measure cup in hot water to help to blend the flavor and base together. This way its easier to work with VG due its viscosity.

After the blend is done, I just fill the bootle, close the lid and put in hot water again. After it cools off I open the lid and let it sit for 24 hours, close the lid and let there for another couple days.

In my last recipes I usually take some "sample juice" from the bottle to try on a clearomizer or cartomizer, that helps to know if the flavor changed and how it changed after mixing.

Hope it helps.
