So I started vaping a few months ago with a eGO starter kit. Did my web research and wallet check ;-) and found a good ZMAX mini and some BCC mega tanks to compliment the little eGO BCC tanks I have. I carry the eGo for driving/pocket use, and love the feel flexibility of having a "smarter" VV/VW mod that's got some heft. Got another ZMAX (some really good deals out there!) for the 18650 battery support (telescoping ZMAX v5 in gunmetal black). Was using that at home/desk/computer.

There's something to this like the traditional japanese tea ceremony, having a good looking mod that ALSO works well just adds to the whole thing (like a kick-... simple/beautiful ceramic glazed tea pot, adds to the green tea foaming in your tea cup as you sip...)

I was looking at mech mods and dripping, but I'm not ready to work on my own atomizer coiling/builds yet (and the mech mods don't have any protection so you need to be on your game so you don't short your battery and make it melt down I suppose). Having working on medical safety lithium power sources devices, I like the idea of some electronic safety mitigations/protections as I'm leaning back and enjoying my nicotine vape... But's that's just me, I'm about risk reduction (smoking NO, vaping YES for instance).

Then I saw Phil Busardo's review and many others on the VTR. I didn't want to buy just another TUBE with electronics VV/VW mod (seem if you have one that works well you're pretty much set). Looked at the MVP/2 and such, but something about the monster metal brick that is the VTR really caught my eye as far as the robustness, and the tea ceremony aspect.

I took the plunge after finding a good deal online (from LiteCigUSA I had bought some tanks and such from them, with fast shipping and good prices so I knew I was in good hands).

In short: It's not as BIG as it looks on the shots, but it is a nice heavy satisfying build of machined(?) metal. Mine has the fixed ring at the bottom (no spinning or looseness there). and the display rippling that Phil saw in his device isn't on mine. It's not as complicated a display as the ZMAX v3/v5, but vapes like a frikken champ (in my limited experience with the eGO, tanks, ZMAX's etc. etc.)

It's now my desk go to, I'm carrying the little eGO and the ZMAX mini v3 (with just a 18350) for my mobile setup, and using the VTR at my desk with a nice satisfied vaping grin on my face. Some things are worth enjoying for the aesthetics, cup of well brewed coffee, a good eJuice in the Protank2 (I'm still getting used to the 30s that came with the VTR) and leaning back to ponder when I'll wipe off the fingerprints on my ceremonial vaping device ;-)

Newbie post from me (my first).

LOVE vaping needless to say,

Gregg
