I've been on this vaping journey for going on 10 years now. I've been strictly a MTL vaper all this time. However, every now and then I get an urge to use a sub ohm tank. I've tried a few in the past and they always make me dizzy as heck. I usually vape 12mg liquid, but with sub ohm tanks I drop to 3mg. I don't wanna drop below 3mg because I still need my "nic fix". Has anyone else experienced this and how did you successfully transition? Thanks!

It took me a long time (3-4 years) to "tolerate" and appreciate sub-ohm vaping. Before that, the vape from a sub-ohm tank seemed too warm and harsh of a vape.

Once I began building my own coils for a RDA I was able to gradually enjoy the vape from a sub-ohm coil. First coils were 0.8 ohm and eventually settled on my personal sweet spot which was o.6 ohm. Again, anything lower in resistance seems too warm or harsh.

You might try a coil in the 0.5 - 0.8 resistance range, and start vaping at a wattage a bit lower than the recommended range for that coil. Experiment with the air flow on the tank.

I’ve ordered an Innokin Isub-B tank. It supposedly has a more “restricted” DL draw. I’ll try taking shorter easier draws and see if that works for me.
You've already ordered, but if you're anxious to spend even more money:eek:, and that one doesn't do it for you, you might find some good info in this thread.RTAs for a restricted lung hit

I have juice at 12mg that I went straight into sub ohming then 6-8mg that I use in my rda's. I think the in between puffs go much longer in between than really being tough to handle.
If I have say a 12mg in a subohm atty I won't vape as much. But running less nic I'll vape more. Drop to a Rdta/Rda I'll definitely drop my nic level. I do both DL and MTL on vaping, depending on the atty used in my rotation. :)
