I have been looking at a lot of the pcc's out there and like the idea that you can get 4+ charges without a car or outlet. I do a lot of fishing and weekend camping. So I need something to keep me going. I keep multiple batteries along with multiPle carts.

My issue with the pcc is that it only holds one, maybe two batteries. What gives? It's seems like common knowledge is that batteries run out before carts. Anyway. I don't need something so much to carry stuff in, just something to give me a bunch of charges.

I saw this thing at walmart today:
Walmart.com: Duracell Instant Power Charger: Computers

It's a 5V USB charger. The package says it can add 3 or more hours to a smartphone. I wanted to post this in the veterans area, but can't yet. I was hoping to get some tech info regarding the ohms outta this thing versus what your average 510, 901, 808 Etc takes to charge.

If anyone knows about this stuff I'd appreciate it. At $25 this would be awesome if incould get 5+ charges out of it. I've seen serious big boy USB charges online for upwards of $100.

This month campIng in AL will be limited power for about 2-3 days. Ouch! I will be fishing and active. Hence I like the smaller 510's and such. And I said in some other thread somewhere, I've been off the smoke and on the vapor for about two weeks now, so I still need that cig feel in my hands. The ego is even a bit big for me. Does that make sense?

Thanks a lot for the tech specs on that battery. Hope that gets me an answer.

Dummy me would like to know what a "mah" is. lol

mah, or maH, refers to milliamp hours, it measures how much total charge a battery holds. Think of your battery as a bucket of water. When they're asking about amperage of chargers, they're asking, "how fast can I fill this bucket safely?". Voltage tells you how big the tap-hole at the bottom is, "how fast can I let water out?"... and mah refers to, "how much total water can I fit in this bucket?"

"gives a cell phone an additional 3 hours" is very little information. You need to know the mah of the standalone USB charger so you can compare its power to the 1300mah battery in the PCC from NoSmokeVA (it is for standard 510 batteries)

Like this huge one says it is 16000mah (more than 10x the charge of my 510 PCC) and says it adds 30 hours of use to an iPad (and an iPad uses more power than a cell phone)
Amazon.com: i.Sound Portable Power Max with 16,000 mAh for iPad, iPad2, iPod, iPhone, Droid, and Blackberry (Black/Silver): Electronics
(and of course check the reviews, look at other models etc)

And they also have ones with less power. Looks like you need something like that. maybe there are bigger ones too. Or to be safer, get two. And some strong zip lock bags - I would keep the charger and whatever it is charging in a waterproof bag.

Gas powered generator makes awful noise. I am looking at that 16000 one and wondering if you can leave it plugged in all the time so it will be ready if we lose power. Once lost power for almost 4 days (but I was smoking back then).

And that big one - I mean for the trip. You could get a smaller one to use on the boat. Just don't buy one you don't know the mah of. 3 hours for a cell phone does not sound like much.

If you see yourself sticking with vaping for a long time...consider stepping up to a nice mod.

If you're happy with 3.7v vaping there are a slew of options from $50 to $200 (boxes or tubes) that will take the massive 18650 High Drain batteries ($10 to $12 each high mah batteries and rated at up to 1000 charge cycles). These will last even heavy HV vapers 12 hours each.

There's also the Darwin which uses a laptop type battery of some sort and lasts a long time.

Here's a useful link about some of the more popular ones:
Best e-Cig Mod List | e-Cig Mods Database

Also, if you (or somone you know) is good with basic electronics...it's not to hard to put something together yourself. Madvapes and your local Radio Shack carries most if not all of the parts you'd need.

Again. My problem is that I don't wanna look like a scuba diver or like I should be in a hooks den. I like the slim profile of the 5xx. 9xx. 8xx. Etc. So I'm thinking of picking up some xl 510's to keep my goIng. If I go through 3 or so 4081's per day. Then one xl 510 should last me all day right?

I certianly understand. I felt the same way for a long time...kept hauling chargers and cables and stuff all over creation (and I still do when the mood strikes me).

Some of the mods out there do have a really classy and relatively slim look tho'. One is even in the body of a bic cigarette lighter (not a big battery mod mind you...but restuffable). The ones that take 18mm diamater batteries would be about like tossing a small flashlight in with your camping kit. One device and an extra battery or two....GTG.
