This is the first I've stepped on a plane since I started vaping. Surprised me, I came prepared with a flat-rate box to send myself my stuff in case it was rejected.
Looks like the TSA is onboard, wish the idiots of the FDA would get with the program.

When it comes to ecigs maybe.

edit:sorry, I dont wanna start anything especially in this subforum.

For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.
I just got through security at Skyport airport in Phoenix. I followed the same procedure but in this case my Box-O-Mods set off some sort of alarm. I got the full unpacking treatment, the public grope, the works! It was fun. I mean that seriously because I had the time. I was smiling and took the opportunity to educate a BUNCH of TSA personnel.

Well, yeah, that's what I did! Yes, they were in their case. But I had opened the case, folded back the lid, they were just sitting there wide open and naked to the world. Both times.
Do you think I should have taken all seven of them completely out of their little foam slots and tossed them into the bin loose? What difference would that have made?
I think the guy in Phoenix sitting in front of the x-ray monitor at the end of the chute would have made the same call either way. I watched him. He looked kind of dopey, though I'm not exactly sure what or who set off the alarm. I should have asked.
The scene was cool though. For awhile I had at least ten agents milling around and checking out my stuff. The guy patting me down asked if I wanted to go to a private room for the massage. I said no. I stayed right there in front of all of them and all my fellow travelers. I wanted to do everything I could to have the end result be "Well, that was unnecessary" in peoples' minds.
About five if them hung around while I repacked my stuff and I gave them a nice spiel. Took my time.
And yes, I got home with all my mods.

When I first visited The Statue of Liberty the security guys there had no clue whatsoever... They were absolutely shocked, heee! One guy, the one who was called in and the one who was making the calls, made me vape my Precise+ 500 in front of him... He then said: Wow, that's so cool, laughing! Good one! And that was great because everyone else was talking about it and I kept vaping my way into the Ferry and everyone was cool!

=)

PS: I have never gone through a security check point at an airport or similar with my Provari, though, because of the recommendations here to go for a mechanical mod. And never an issue!

Snork, that's a hell of a collection to bring on vacation :D

I normally travel with my P16 and GLV supermini for that same reason...this labor day I decided screw it, I'm bringing my Provari! Put my small case (Provari, P16, 2 18500, 2 16340, bunch of i06's) in the bin opened up, not a second look from TSA. Montana, Minneapolis, Chicago, and Baltimore airports were all fine. No more worries about non-mechanical mods.
