Just got back to Germany from Egypt and Chuck and I are having a blast. For all of you that worry traveling with Your Chuck will be a problem, let me say this, Not True. My first layover in Amsterdam brought the first question from a security screener, once I convinced him to let me show him what it did, he went to all smiles and poked a fellow screener for me to show her what it did. I was waved right on through. ( I stealth vaped all the way from Portland, OR to Munich, GE with no problems at all). For the flight from Munich to Luxor, Only at screening did they show confusion, once shown, big smiles all around. Once again, I stealth vaped with no problems. On the Nile cruise, many questions from the staff on the boat to the other passengers. Very interesting trip as My friend and I were the only Americans on a boat with all Germans. Then on to Red Sea, Hurghada. This time the hotel was packed with Germans and Russians. The staff at the hotel had a few questions, just got lots of looks from the Russians. Then at the Airport in Hurghada, while sitting at a cafe, had two Egyptians staring at me, they finally got a English speaking shop keeper to help them question me about Chuck and once again all smiles, not a peep out of the screeners this time.
Once I get back home, will download a few picts of Chuck on the Nile. He had fun, the only down side is that my spare Chuck did not make it in time for the trip, my daughter informed me that it was waiting in the mail when they got home from dropping me off at the Portland Airport. So I have a new friend to greet me at home.
So fellow travelers, take your Chuck with you with confidence, no hiding him in your checked baggage, but stride forth boldly with Chuck in your hand and enjoy your travels, I am.
