Wife made her reservations from Houston to Chicago, wondering about her vamo she plans to take. Anyone have issues at the checkpoints with bigger mods ..... Or do we need to go buy a couple ego style batteries?

She'll be gone a week, been thinking of putting her juice in a bunch of 10ml bottles for the trip, all in a baggie.

Any tips be appreciated, don't want her mod or juices confiscated by overreaching DHS.

Is that a PV in yer pocket or are you happy to see me??? hahaha.

I flew from Omaha to Baltimore with a Bolt, a couple 18650's, charger, and 2 bottles of juice. The bolt (with battery) was on my person... no trouble, not a single question or glance. I expect it depends who is working that day & how bad they want to feel you up.

The only tip I have is to put your vaping devices in the bin with your shoes, right out in the open.
TSA agents know what electronic cigarettes are, and in fact many of them vape too.

You can bring whatever devices you want, no matter how large.
You aren't going to have any problems.

If you leave it buried in whatever carry-on you are using, they might delay you to see what it is.
And if you pack it in your checked luggage, they might search it to see what it is.

I've had all of the above happen to me, and that is why I put them in the bins with my shoes now.

Yes, being open about it is the best policy. I've traveled both domestically and internationally numerous times and have never been questioned nor stopped.
