I'm going off to Thailand in a few days, with my Asgard dna 30 mod, and I'm having some confusion in terms of charging this damn beast. I contacted J-Vapes and they told me to use a wall adapter that doesn't exceed past 1 Amp, but I'm having difficulty finding anything of that nature.

I usually charge it on my laptop via micro USB cable. But I don't think I'll be bringing or using my laptop there, as the place I'm staying at, has warned me to refrain from using any sensitive devices because of electrical fluctuations and surges (which they are prone to).

Has anybody used their iphone/ipad wall adapters? Any issues?

Hey

Have you considered a mobile charge. One of those battery packs with a USB on it? Otherwise you can always get a surge protector?

Also regarding your travel, be sure to check with your airline on their policy (which I realize you may have done already). In Canada vaping on planes has been banned by almost all airlines here, and personally I wouldn't be surprised if they ban ecigs all together soon.

With 150 watt device and the types of coils people build, I'm surprised the government hasn't labelled it as a weapon and banned it from flights already!

I'm not going to be blowing clouds on the airplane. Just sneak away to the bathroom here or there, as cokeheads do. But I've checked out the airline I'm taking and there have been some people who openly vape in their seats on this. I don't think it should be a problem.

I do have a global adapter with the surge protector feature on it. I'm going to be counting on that if anything. I just don't want to ruin my mod.. For me at least $225 is pretty pricey.

Ah okay =)...personally I don't think it is very considerate to be vaping on the plane - or really anywhere it can be a discomfort to someone.
So kudos to you for being considerate enough to go to the bathroom to do it =)

If the surge protector is a reputable brand they likely carry some sort of warranty in an event that the surge protector fails. And believe me...in today's economy $225 is a lot of money to the majority, including me!
