I would just carry my KR808D-1 in my purse on the plane. I would not try to stealth vape on the plane. Just don't know where to put the REO's. Seems like they prefer it go in carry on, with battery separate, atomizer off. I would just have empty bottles inside, with my liquid in another baggie. This is too much to deal with right now, the situation here is bad.

Pack your Reo however you're comfortable and bring with you some printouts of the Reo User Guide (it's linked in one of the stickied threads).

If any security goons question you about your Reo, hand them a copy of the guide to bolster your explanations that it's not a device that should concern them.

Then take a ten second hit and blow a cloud of vapor in their face. :p

Honestly Ive had all sorts of things in my carry on and they never question because the majority of the time they are busy racial profiling and gossiping with each other to seriously look.

I rarely adhere to the 4oz liquid thing for example and just leave everything in my carry on let them find it and take it away and they never have.....they DID once take an unopened can of cola from me that was in my purse....

But your last post I would say is spot on. Carry on, battery out, juice bottles separate, and I think Mud's suggestion is a good one too should they actually pay attention...and don't stress!

I flew with my REO just over a week ago from WA to Orange county, CA and back again. Pretty much agree with whats been said. I separated the battery and mod. Since I carried an extra battery, I just used a rubber band to hold the two together and placed them in a ziplock. Juice was in its own ziplock labeled as what it was. REO was in its own ziplock. I kept all items in my carry-on and they never even looked at them as far as I could tell.
Once I got through TSA, I sat down and assembled my REO again and stealth-vaped in the airport. I know its not illegal(yet) but I try not to rile people up for no reason. I don't even think of sneaking a vape on a plane.
NOTE: I got on the plane with a little under half a bottle of juice in my REO. About an hour into the flight, I reached into my shirt pocket where my REO resides and it was coated with juice--no exaggeration. Fortunately I had a paper towel in my pocket and was able to wipe up the mess. Now I had a Boge carto on the REO which have tended to auto-feed from time to time and I assume the pressure change exacerbated this tendency. My first time flying with a pv, so nothing I say is written in stone, but I too was really concerned about it my first time(if I can't fly with my REO, I ain't goin'). So, just my 2 cents worth.:)

DH travels weekly from Dallas to Mexico/US border (US side) via American, same flight weekly. Of course this is a pretty short trip so they just get up to altitude for a few minutes before coming down again. He either carries Reo Min in side pocket of carry on or in shirt pocket. He said he's had it leak a little only a couple of times. Never had any issues with security. He carries three 14500 batteries, two extra attys, and a 3 ml bottle in two plastic 18500 battery cases rubber banded together in outside pocket of carry on.

He just got in last night and left for Chicago wee hours this morning, same set up, with Reo Mini in shirt pocket. No issue that I know of. I'll find out later if there was any leaking. He's only going to be away three days, just like his weekly trip, so 6 ml total is enough juice for him. He used to carry a 30 ml bottle (1 ounce), in his carry on, in liquid personal products baggie, and no problems.

I think idea to carry some documentation, as suggested above is a good idea. HINT..... If you carry filled extra bottles, of any size, keep the dripper part on the bottle or they will, for sure leak. I do think the liquid viscosity might have something to do with how much, if all, it leaks with pressure changes. His juices are very high or totally VG.

He doesn't carry any pressurized products in carry on, like hair spray. For his weekly trip he leaves some personal items and his travel guitar at the hotel (and they have them in his room when he checks in - same room every week, too). For the trip to Chicago, this a.m., he did check one bag, and put the small spray bottles in the checked bag.

I vaped on the plane and in the terminal. The only person who said anything wanted to know where to get one, and commented that I was the most relaxed looking passenger in sight.

TSA asked what it is, I said it's my inhaler, showed him all the parts, and that was that.

I know it's been said, but MAKE SURE you have less than 2ml in the bottle or you'll have juice everywhere.

Here in NY,

TSA: What is that?
Me: Personal Vaporizer, an electronic cigarette.
TSA: Really now? can we inspect it?
Me: Here let me show you how it....
TSA: PUT IT DOWN RIGHT NOW! PUT IT DOWN
Me: Oh.. oh ok...
TSA: (Radio) airport security to section B2.

5 minutes later and in the holding cell.

FBI: This looks like a bomb detonator
Me: Its not a bomb detonator, it is my personal vaporizer.
FBI: We are going to have to inspect this further and possibly confiscate it.
Me: What! why?
FBI: Come with us (Puts on sunglasses)

Note, this hasn't happened but I am just picturing what would happen.

Part 2:

dokebilee: Oh, hell no!

*kung fu ensues*

*dokebilee leaves the holding cell with Reo in hand and unconscious FBI agents and broken sunglasses littering the floor*
