Kent and I are going to a Steelers game next weekend. We are both pretty excited to get out of town for a bit. I just plan on taking my Reo, a few batteries, and my Virus. So if it gets confiscated I'll be semi-devastated. Who am I kidding? I'll be inconsolable. This does help knowing that others have traveled successfully. :)

I like the steelers...they complied very well...course they are the only ones so far :D

Don't worry about it, I will go with Kent. Stay home and enjoy the Reo!

Has anyone flown with a Nicoticket filled Reo? My fear is that I will get to the security check point and that my Reo will be confiscated and then I will be without the yummy AND my Reo! If I need to check it with my luggage, I will.

What are your experiences with vaping and travel?
I just flew with mine. I can tell you that you don't want to fly with juice in the bottle. The pressure changes will make it leak.

TSA seems to be much less concerned about liquids anymore. Last two flights I had my juice in a sealed baggie with my other liquids and forgot to run it through separately and they didn't hassle me at all.

The one thing I was worried about most recently was batteries. I would expect more issues with that now. They're now saying you have to put lithium batteries in a baggie now too and you can only have two.

I recently flew to Chicago and back with my reo...no problems at all. They had more of a problem with my bottle of perrier and hand sanitizer...tossed the perrier kept the sanitizer. I flew with my charger packed in the checked bag, spare battery in my carry on and reo loaded like any other day. Kept the battery in and vaped my frenilla on the plane (in the bathroom).
About it leaking, I found that if the bottle has enough air in it to be pressurized it will leak, so just top it off before the flight and it won't leak. You could also store it upside down in your carry on...Can't leak if the tube is sticking out of the juice :)

This is ALL very helpful! So, I have learned the following:

- Put just (2) batteries in a baggie in your carry on
- Cap your liquid and place in a baggie
- Reos go through TSA without issue

Could I place my Reo (with battery AND liquid loaded) in a baggie? Will that get through the TSA?

That's what I did with mine.

I've not had problem with liquid in the Reo, no reason to put in baggie. I do make sure to swap to an empty bottle after I get through TSA before I board. I have had auto feeding during climb. I typically have 10 batteries in my carry on. If I get any questions it's from small airports, and just saying ecig seems to be good enough.

You don't have to baggie the batts. Just put them in battery cases and leave them in your carry on. All my mods I just put in my backpack. If you are worrying about auto-squonking just take out the liquid bottle and cap it before getting on the plane making sure you clean the juice tube. If you put your REO in a baggie with the juice bottle installed you will end up with a sticky mess if it leaks. The only thing I put into baggies are my NT juices... I have never been hassled by TSA for my e-cigs and I fly a lot and a few of them are vapers...

The trick to getting through TSA is to be pleasant with them. They are just folks doing the job they get paid to do. Yup, some are going to be 455h0135, but if you just flash them a smile and try to make their day better we all win... TSA officers love the smell of my backpack...
