Treebox Problem

Hi all,

Has anyone heard of problems with the Trerbox mod cutting off on its own and not being able to cut it back on? I have tried it with different addy's on it, and with no addy at all, changed batteries (6-8 different ones and different brands)....It doesn't matter. When it automatically shuts off, it will not come back on until it decides to. I am not vaping on it heavily when it shuts off either. I can put it down and pick it up a few hours later and it will turn back on by clicking the fire button five times and it will work, for a short period until it cuts off again.

Any ideas? Thanks!

May sound silly, but have you tried cleaning Both contacts in the Mod? Maybe buff with a fine sandpaper.

I have thought about that. I haven't sanded them, but I did look at them and they looked fine. I haven't had it very long and haven't used it a great deal, but it didn't have this problem for the first two months I have had it. Thanks for the suggestion...I'll probably give it a try tomorrow.

That is a possibility. I've never seen anything like it.

Instead of sanding, do you have fine 4o steel wool? Won't hog off metal & maintain thread integrity.
As a hobby, i work on vacuum tube amps, radios. A circuit that functions then cuts out after heating up usually is plagued by a cold solder. Was never heated up properly in the original weld. Visually would look ok, maybe a bit grey not shiny.
I've never opened up your mod, bit if you want to try,,for science! Look for a schemo or better yet a wiring diagram

What Threads? The mod has a magnetic cover and 2 Button post +/-

Might have a Cold solder, but that would be extremely rare.

Simplest test - Pop the Battery Out and back in. This usually Re-seats the contacts. Even if it only gives a Flicker while installing, a good indication of poor Battery contact.

It's like it works for a "vaping session", then when I set it down for a little while and pick it back up, it doesn't work and will not turn on. I can try it a few hours later, and it comes on and does the same thing. It almost seems like it gets warm then shuts down. I am not heavily chain vaping and getting the multiple addy's I've tried real hot either.

today i received my treebox as it is tree and dont hit my hand with electricity as with other brand , i mean when i hold mods hands get wet and sometimes i receive electric , sounds silly but it happens.
with treebox i have the same issue as stated on top comment. it gets off after a while even if i dont turn it off manually. maybe it is already so programmed. one magnet was loose and i fixed it with gel glue and it holds now. overall looks pretty good constructed but time will show what happens afterwards.
there is also some new things that i have not seen with eleaf 60watt tc and evic vtc mini. in treebox if i use wattage mode with SS316L, ohm is playing from base to higher and also voltage, but wattage stays same. in temperature mode ohm stays still but no way to change wattage as there 3 options as soft/normal/hard.
mod body does not get hot when i vape as it was with eleaf but i love my eleaf as well.
treebox is not little as it was advertised it is for bigger hands but tree feels good really nice look, but inside chipo form. even box that holds mod i mean package is little bit crappy i thought it was recycled from chocolate gift box.
user interface is simple and modern easy to use , even some shortcuts as power + 1 changes mode , power +2 set strength of tc control etc.
first impressions are good. and do not think that auto turn off is a big problem to deal as it is usefull in some way to me. in this mod to turn off can get hard. 5x power block it and then i cant get to turn it off and only way to go through menu and make it say astalavista baby.
