tried 5 pawns yesterday

All their flavors sound so sweet which turns me off-how sweet are they? Would you call them desert vapes?

The flavors are sweet and the eliquid is stickier than most others I have used to date. I only tried Bowden's Mate and didn't like it, but I won't bash them. If you want to vape 5 Pawns it's your decision, no one is forcing you to buy their product.

Im familiar with all of them except Absolute Pin.

Im not the biggest fan of absinthe/anise juices, but I dont dislike them either. Ive had a bottle of pluid just chillen ever since I first tried it because while I dont always want to vape it, I do like it, and want it when I want it.

Now, Absolute Pin sounds absolutely amazing.. irish cream and cinamon and caramel, with hints of absinthe? Yeah! But Ive heard through the grapevine that its not as accurate as their other flavors, and it ends up being ust pure absinthe/anise. If the absinthe is anymore than a hint, Im probably not gonna bother with it. I hope not though because based on the description, this would easily be my favorite juice of theirs after Castle Long.

    Can anyone comment?

I was just curious since I have no way to test it out prior to buying since they don't offer samples.

They have a sample pack for sale on their site, for $23.50. It includes a 4ml bottle of 5 flavors -- Grandmaster, Bowden's Mate, Gambit, Absolute Pin, and Queenside.

I picked up 12 mg Gambit and 12 mg Bowden's mate, BNIB, for $32 shipped yesterday on the reddit classifieds. I bought Gambit from Vaperev and... wow. Amazing juice but I don't want to vape it too often, it ain't cheap! But, weird as it sounds, it is worth the $26 at least to me. Stellar, decadent, addictive flavor. That's about all I can say. Haven't tried Bowden's Mate but WTH, it was basically an extra $5 shipped to try it if I were paying full price for the Gambit.

I live in Texas and we all have oil wells here. Actually my brother and I just received $40 checks. :) I just remembered so I thought maybe it was a sign. I found a vendor with 12 mg in stock. Before I signed up I checked the shipping from Sacramento...$10..total about $48. If you pre-order, check the vendors shipping. They are probably taking an extra $5 pure profit to ship you something the size of a BIC lighter.

Yeah the anise is definitely dominant.. the other flavors are barely in the background. I still like it though. I actually mix mine with Alien Visions Irish Cream to make it taste closer the the description.

I got the sample pack to see what all the fuss was about. I'm not an anise flavor fan and Abosolute pin has way too much of it for me. It's the main flavor, not "background" as they say.

I did like the Gambit and Bowden's mate a lot. But I will try some alternatives (including DIY attempts) before I re-buy.

I hate anise, and while noticeable it is a background flavor at best. It's not as slap you in the face as most anise juices.

    JmanEspresso,
As you can see we all have different tastes. :) Personally, I think the anise is in the background. The dominant flavor for me is the cinnamon, then the Irish Cream, then the anise. I struggle to find the caramel but I think I can taste it if I try real hard.

    Thanks guys, much appreciated.

Looks like the only way to find out if I think the anise is background or foreground is to try it(imagine that), so Ill put an order together today. Its awesome that Vaperev carries 5p now, because I go to Vaperev for a lot of stuff already. Makes it easy to just throw a bottle or two onto an order.

Although the price range is a bit out of my normal zone I did find I liked Gambit and Bowden's mate very much when I was able to sample taste bottles another local vaper had and ordered a bottle of each as a yule gift for myself....whats wrong with treating yourself every now and then ? A 30ml bottle is slightly less than the cost of a carton of the smokes I used to buy every week and will last much longer especially since I will not be vapeing them constantly :vapor:
