Actually, in my experience that's a side effect of vaping VG. PG dries you out and some people ( a very small percentage) are allergic to it. VG seems to create congestion is some folks. Try lowering the % of VG to say 25% and see if that helps. While VG is in many foods and drinks, it's affect on mucous membranes from inhalation is quite a different story. I'm not knocking VG, just sharing my thoughts. I vape 50/50.

I was excited to try a VG blend for the first time and this morning, I was way congested. I will give it a day or two without vaping it to see if maybe its a cold or the weather. But it seems totally possible it's the VG which would suck. The all PG hasn't done that to me so far. Any comments?

How long have you been vaping, or more importantly, off analogs? I experienced a lot of coughing and congestion when I first quit...and I thought it was from vaping, but i learned quickly on ECF that just about everyone had gone through the same thing, and it passed after a week or 2. I'm not sure if thats what stage you are in though.

Just my thought, but maybe you were used to the higher PG juices which have more of a throat hit. Im just thinking that TH feeling is basically an irritant as was real cigs. Now that you are not inhaling as much PG your throat is "healing"? Anytime your mucous membranes are getting irritated, they defend themselves my producing more mucous to protect itself. This just might be your bodys way of getting rid of the protective coating it made as a result of the PG. I dont like throat hit, so when I was using juices that were higher than 50% pg I was getting a sore throat and phlegm. I hope this helps, Plus another thing I thought of the other day. If you have a allergy to nuts you might look into the ingredients in your juice, some of the organic or natural flavored juice might have trace amounts of nuts that my not throw you into an anaphala.... etc shock but might make you feel sick. I was thinking of that when reading other posters allergies to ejuice or PG. Since PG is what typically binds the flavor maybe the problem is a certain ingredient in the PG, this goes for anyone with fruit allergies such as strawberries. Just a thought. Maybe if people with allergies tried non flavored juices, that might solve their allergy issues. It might not be the PG but the actual flavor.

I am still smoking some analogs so it's not that :( (though I know exactly what you mean about coughing from previous quit attempts).

I really do feel it might have been plain and simple congestion from the VG based on my vaping yesterday. I tried out all my new flavors and they were all 50/50. Prior to yesterday I don't think I have vaped any VG at all.

I'll keep experimenting... it sucks because I was actually hoping to go all VG eventually, not exactly sure why.

A lot of people seem to experience ill effects with PG, then alleviate those affects by switching to VG, but like you I actually experienced the exact opposite. After doing a little research I found out that some people who have slightly more sensitive lungs or throats or whatever can have a reaction to VG at first. Apparently the body needs a little time to get used to inhaling the compound. I can say from personal experience that if you are indeed sensitive to VG like I am, the congestion (and if you're like me, the sore throat) will fade in a week or so.

That's good to know. I don't think I will try going higher than 50/50, but I will go ahead and keep vaping it along with my others. I was waiting for this juice to give new motivation to completely quit the analogs so I would hate to not use it!

Stick with it and eventually you'll be peachy keen. A word of warning though, each time you up the concentration apparently it happens again. I say that because I first experienced the problems when I switched to 50/50, then the problems went away, but I just recently got a juice that's 100% VG and the problems started up again. The good news is they seem to have started fading after only a couple days this time.
