Sorry I dont know how to select the quote!....But I'm responding to the point about comparability with the amount of nicotine IN 2 packs. A typical cigarette CONTAINS around 11mg of nicotine. A government machine taking one 35ml puff/minute may absorb about 1.1mg from it, but a smoker will more typically absorb around 1.3-2mg and can easily get 3mg. But if we are going to compare like with like, the disposable ecig claims to CONTAIN 24mg of nicotine, but the pack of cigarettes CONTAINS 20*11=220mg of nicotine.
Now if we are interested in comparing like-for-like absorption, the smoker will typically absorb around 1.5mg nicotine, obtaining a peak blood nicotine of concentration of around 14 ng/ml, whereas from a disposable ecig we dont know exactly how much nicotine they will absorb, but the best estimate is that from a single puffing session they will get a blood nicotine level of around 1-2mg/ml. So whichever way you cut it, the labeling is deceptive.
Thank you for the correction. I'm trying to remember now where I read the 15-24mg/pack number. Imagine if they used total content for their pack equivalent - 220mg in a pack vs. 24mg in a cart (generously assuming 1 ml/cart) It would make it equivalent to 2 cigarettes! lol!
