and it works. sort of.. i mean, i don't get the craving for analog smoke, but at the same time, it's not as satisfying. there is something that's missing. it's not as smooth, it's not as hard hitting. the disposable had 17-24mg of nic in it. and i smoke marlboro silver. there is bit of tingle at the throat after using e-cig for a day, but not sure if it's same as when i change brand of analog once in awhile.

maybe i need something that will generate more vapor. not sure.. the deep inhale with analog feels so much better. but i tried not to do deep inhale with e-cig.

what am i missing?

i knew a person who chewed those nic gums for 10 yrs. he used to say that gum does the trick, but if he has chance to smoke without all the bad side of it, he would rather smoke all day long. i feel like that. e-cig works, but if analog doesn't smell, and if it doesn't have negative side of it like possibility of cancer and all, i would rather smoke analog all day long.

Hey,

It does sound like you need more vapour to give you the feeling that you are actually inhaling something.

I would suggest getting a larger device, some kind of eGo Twist or Vision Spinner battery and then a Protank 2 tank.

The benefit of the Protank2 is that it will allow you the option to rebuild the heads (using Kanthal wire) if you should ever want to, or just to buy replacement heads (around $3 each).

THe MVP2 is also worth looking at, it has a bigger battery and therefore more life.

Hi Pete, and welcome to ECF.

Most find the disposable "cig-a-like" types to be wanting, so no surprise there :)

You might find a larger battery and a clearo type topper to be more satisfying. Something with VV or / and VW, so you can adjust the amount of power going to the coil gives you the means to tailor the vape. And a clearo, being a refillable type device, will let you put in whatever flavor and strength you want.

If there's a vape store accessible to you, even though it's going to be a bit more $, many are set up to let you taste test different flavors. Finding one (or more!) that you like, and a good delivery system, is important. And a good shop will also have knowledgeable folk who can answer your questions about how to use the hardware, maintenance, and so on.

Of course, we do that here, too, but sometimes, when starting out, the face time helps get over the initial learning curve.

And of course, cigs DO smell, DO have huge negative sides... but the research so far indicates that vaping is at WORST only about 5% the risk. Likely less.

Yes, you probably need more vapour. I did. I smoked 15 a day and small devices didn't help me out. They didn't stop nicotine cravings either.

Some folk keep cig-a-likes for back up. I have one, and for what it is, it's good. (Kanger 808D-1). Even with 24mg liquid, it barely gets the job done.

I vape 6mg (or 12mg) in decent devices, ranging from eGos to VV/VW and/or mechanicals.

Welcome Pete!

I started out with a Blu kit and didn't find it satisfying either. Fortunately, like you, I found ECF and realized that there were many, many better options out there. Sit back, do some reading and ask questions. Do you like the round (tube) shape or would you be comfortable with something shaped like a box in your hand? Once you determine which you prefer, it's easier to give you advice. The folks here are pretty friendly and will help you find a new set up that's better for you. That's what they did for me over a year ago. You're at the start of a wonderful journey.
