yes, all coils should be in parallel (or two in series in parallel with two in series). the goal is to have all of the coils fire at the same time, so each branch needs to have the same resistance. if you stick two in series and one in parallel, you'll have one branch with twice the resistance of the other. what will end up happening is the one in parallel will fire, but the two in series will not.

However many circuits you end up making, you have to have the same number of the same coil on every one if you want everything to heat up the same.
