I have a 45 pound Wheaten Terrier who can (and has) chewed up just about anything that has food or a human scent on it, from hearing aids to a dental plate to an entire unopened box of Pecan Sandies (which he opened and ate in less than 5 minutes). I've had my Halo ecigs since early December (both G6 and Triton) and he's never shown any interest in them, not even sniffing them, until last night. I woke up this morning to find my Triton VV missing from the end table in the family room where I'd left it and looked all over the house for it until I spotted it on his dog bed in the same room. The screw in tip was half gone with the top bitten off and there were tooth indentations in the clear plastic tank and the metal ring at the top (though not deep, they were clearly detectable). I screwed a tip on it from another tank and it vapes just fine, lol. He was unable to crack the tank!

Lemme tell ya, for my dog Jake not to be able to crack it, that must be some tough plastic, because he can bite his way through just about anything!

PS - In case you are curious, yes, it was a tank of Belgian Coco mixed with Kringles.

I'm sorry, but I find this disturbing. It was a matter of time before the dog chewed through the black tip and would have consumed the eliquid. And I have no data on the effects of eliquid and nicotine on a dog, nor would I ever want to find out first hand.

For any of you who have pets, children, or curious visiting children or relatives, it is YOUR responsibility to keep these devices and all eliquid out of their reach. (The new labels on Halo 30ml warn to keep it locked up.)

God forbid if something happens to a child (or pet), but I can totally see some rambunctious District Attorney filing reckless endangerment charges.

Please, let's be smart and careful out there!!!

Yeah, you're right Dave. My kitty, Harlequin used to hide my batts in her bed. I got scared cuz I didn't know if she was trying to lick the tips or something. She would never bite them tho, just rubbed her face all over it 'marking' them as hers. I had to buy a case to put them in. Now she hates me, but she's a cat so I guess that's only right. lol

dont forget, the flavor was Belgian Cocoa..if there's any actual cocoa in it, then thats pretty bad for dogs too.

that being said...it was something we're all guilty of; being a little careless. luckily there was no one harmed and we can have a good laugh about it now. as someone that's been close to death more times then i can count (not because i've been close to death a lot, but because i can't count very high) it's a healthy response to be able to look back on what might have been a tragic situation and have a chuckle about it later.

True, wheez. Thank goodness it was just a chewed tip and not a tragic result. Something we all are guilty of, myself included. Hopefully this is one of those "learning moments" we can take advantage of without paying the price.

This could have been tragic. Imagine if the tank had VooDoo in it. Look at what it does to AngiBe...

Well, sure, my first concern was whether he'd gotten to the liquid, but once I saw he had not I thought it seemed pretty funny that a dog would have an interest in a personal vaporizer. Maybe I have a weird sense of humor. Then again maybe some in here are so holy in their own standard of care that they can toss stones in righteous indignation.

It certainly won't happen again. But comparing it to leaving bottles of eliquid around for little children to have access to is a bit ridiculous.
