I've been using the G6 since March. I like it, hasn't failed me, and the minitanks are great.

I keep reading people post great things about the Triton, and I'm curious about it. So far I'm 100% satisfied with the G6. Battery life and vapor production.

I used to be a Marlboro Lights smoker. Monday-Friday I'd smoke maybe 6 cigarettes a day, or roughly a pack every 2.5 days. Weekends I could smoke about half a pack to a whole pack when I'm having a few drinks.

So as you'd imagine my current G6 with the minitank is working great. But I'd hate to be missing out on anything. I've only had a battery run out on me once or twice on a weekend only because it wasn't fully charged prior to me going out, but I always carry 2 G6 batteries on those occasions anyway. In my case the juice in a full minitank would run out well before the battery does.

Is the Triton worth it? Am I missing out on vapor production in comparison? Perhaps flavor comes out better?

As a light smoker, already on the mini tank, you're fine on the G6.

The Triton tank gives more warm vapor, and a bit more taste than the mini tank, and it can be maintained, with replaceable coils. All in all, the Triton tank system is more economical than the mini tank, if your intended usage is more than 3 months.

You're certainly welcome to try it! You can use the mini tank on a Triton battery. The longer G6 battery has a capacity of 280 mAH, while the smallest Triton battery is rated for 400 mAh.

You could get:
-1 400 mAh battery - $15.99
-1 Triton charger - $6.99
-1 Triton tank - $6.99

For $30, you'd get to see first hand what it's like, and you'd have an extra, long lasting battery you could use, regardless.

You can also pickup a "cone" (~$3), to cover the larger connection of the Triton battery, while you use a mini tank on it, but be aware that it's not a nice fit: it'll need a bit of filing down. It's just decorative.

I've got an old buddy in Houston that I'm trying to convert away from cigarettes: I'm going to recommend he jumps straight into a Triton. ;)

Triton coils are $2.50 ea (but you can get them cheaper elsewhere: they're Kanger T2 coils).

The coils will last about as long as a mini tank, but you can clean them (they're easier to clean)

As far as I can tell, Triton tanks last forever (but beware of bad juices that melt plastics; you'll know when you buy one)

A bit of an overstatement, but they are thick and durable. Mine are going on nearly 6 months without issue. Just replace the coil when needed, clean regularly. Easy peasy.

You will want a 2nd Triton battery to use your tanks on. Same as cycling through your G6's. Until you get one just be sure you have your G6 with you for back up. The VV's are 900mah, which I haven't used, but the standard 650's last all day no problem. The 1300's go for a good day and a half, sometimes pushing 2 days, before needing a charge.

Any difference in taste between those two tanks?

I think the Triton T2 is a little cooler and more airy...the mini T4 is hotter and tighter...but that's just my opinion. Flavor kind of depends on the juice. I probably get more pure flavor from the Triton...but more throat hit from the mini.

I ordered the Triton VV with three tanks and a charger. I figured why carry two G6's around all the time and just have one device. Also, I needed something that burned hotter for my 100% VG that I got from Johnson Creek.

I'm interested in how the vv batt works with JC 100% vg juice. Compared to the reg batt. This is the only juice I use right now. Tennesee cured red oak, Wisconsin frost and domestic.

I can't say enough great things about Johnson creek shipping and customer service.

I just got it in the mail today. Works excellent with the red oak Tennessee cured. You'll definitely get a better throat hit at 3.8 volts. I'm using the Triton VV with the regular triton tank. I'm loving this thing so far.

That is exactly my "all day in the office" setup, juice included. :vapor:

i don't know what you mean by filing down? i use the cone on my triton, you just have to put the cone on first, then put the tank in... i havn't done any filing. personally i like the look of the cone better as i use the mini tanks alot, and every one tells me the mini and triton tanks look like needles lol.. the cone gives it more of a fancy pen look.
