I just ordered a few new batteries and am having some troubles with a couple of them. I have a copper shorty that quite a few of my carts won't fit on. An auto XL black that is having the same problem and a purple XL manual that has a jacked button. Can't press it down, won't even budge in any direction. Also, one of my USB chargers in this order just stopped working for me about an hour ago. Anyone else having issues like this? Sent Mark an email yesterday and haven't heard back yet.

Yes. My USB charger from my UU Automatic kit died this past weekend. I only used it three or four times (the AC charger is preferred as it is much faster) mostly to make sure it worked. This past weekend I was using it and powered off the laptop during the charge cycle. When I powered it back up, no blue light and it will not charge any battery. Did I mess things up by shutting down the laptop? I received my kit 60 days ago, so I am certainly out of the warranty period. Any advice is appreciated.

I just would not use laptops, that's me. It's hard to remember what you can and can't do with them, and which devices to use or not, and what current thresholds to observe.

You would not use a laptop even if it worked before?

I don't see myself buying a desktop just to charge my PV but if I'm not supposed to use a laptop at all or never power off any type of computer while I'm using the USB charger, I want to know for future reference. The PCC charges fine on the laptop, by the way.

It's probably fine, but batteries are changing quickly, and just personally for me, I would just not use laptops. One of my batteries is the Hello 016 which is a 1,300 mah battery, and there are 5V batteries in the drawing board. There are also batteries in the market right now that have no LED and you just plug to a USB to charge them while you use them at the same time, like a battery-PT hybrid. AC usb adaptors are readily available too, and I have two of them which I would use if I didn't have a desktop. But this is just me, I guess what I'm trying to say is there's going to be fine print needed soon, for people to know what they can use on laptos. Having said all that, I do wonder if the charger expired.

you can always get a usb adapter that plugs into a wall outlet.
Thanks. I think I'm better off with an additional V4L AC charger - no USB needed. I liked the fact that I could charge three batteries at once (AC, USB, and PCC).

For the record, my USB charger is the type that has a cord.

I only use the regular and shorty V4L batteries. Thanks for the quick reply. We need some charging Do's and Dont's...and definitely in a new thread if it doesn't exist already.
