False because I could always program VCRs -- I even knew which ones I could get more functions out of by using a different remote (many used the same code/circuits but not everything could be put on the remotes).

False. I've done only a minimal amount of streaming. I'd probably watch more streamed content if I had access on the TV in my living room, but I don't. And that leaves watching on my computer as my only option, and that doesn't appeal to me much at all.
