True! Actually, it can sorta be Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday. The herbies are in the backyard, but the city can't pick them up there because of the wall which extends from the carriage house to the 'second' house (this is an older home, built in the days before indoor plumbing). The landlord sometimes puts the herbies out Tuesday night, sometimes Wednesday, and sometimes very early Thursday, depending on how ambitious he's feeling. (The gate has to be kept locked, meaning the tenants have no control.)

Only slightly true -- I'm enough of a health nut that I don't drink anything unless it's been purified/sterlized by the addition of alcohol, and vodka has little actual flavor. (In truth, I can't drink anything unless it's carbonated or highly acidic, so straight water is a rarity.)
