False. For the past 8 months I've been driving a woefully underpowered Honda Civic. In fact, the only thing I miss about the 24-valve V6 Taurus I traded in for this Honda is the ability to do simple things like pass other cars without needing a quarter mile to ramp up to passing speed.

OTOH, I went from averaging ~20mpg to about 38mpg.
