Karate,

Love your review- I know this has been some time but this is the first time I saw it over here-
I am another not looking for "throat hit" but as I vaped the Dragon for the first time when it arrived Friday, It seemed that I got MAJOR throat hit, good vape, the flavor is strong, etc- I love the Dragon- I am still a bit tentative with it because this flavor is very strong for me-
I also smoke w/ a minimal amount of throat opening- (I have been doing it this way for about the last 5 yrs since trying real hard to quit) inhale, w/ throat closed, slowly taking in the smoke, ... enough said-
Great review- It is nice to see a "noob" perspective on a unit that seems to be pretty accurate to what is actually experienced-
I am still real new- so hope that my atty holds up as long- have already bought an extra to go w/ the 2 atty's in the kit- getting ready to order a backup manual battery as well. & JD Rocks!

Your mom said not to say...
The Dragon was the first model I used and it was the one responsible for me being able to quit smoking tobacco cigarettes totally and without cravings and withdrawals. I have recommended the Dragon to every new person who ask me about e-cigs. I had heard the talk about the 510 but I went with the Dragon and to me it taste better than my 510 and hits just as good. The 510 takes a day or two of vaping to break in, not so with the Dragon, it was tasty out of the box. I think all of you that have ordered a Dragon are going to like them. If I had gotten the 510 first I don't think I would have continued to be honest, I am so glad I got the Dragon first. I have not used the manual batteries for the Dragon but I imagine they are just as good as the auto ones in term of life between charges which is far superior to the 510 battery to start with.

Those out there that like to drip juice would love the Dragon even more for it's exposed atomizer which makes for easy and mess free dipping in juice rather than dripping and having juice run everywhere. I prefer the taste I get from my Dragon over the 510, it wasn't until I had the 510 for a week and put it on a 6v mod did I really start to like the 510. Then the juice taste really started to appear, which happens when you vape at higher voltages with devices like the Prodigy or the Screwdriver. The mod I use is a simple Magnum mod that works great, it saved the 510 from being sold off and forgotten in my house.

Plenty of people prefer the 510, the vapor production is good, the throat hit is good as well, but not so superior to the Dragon as to make a huge difference. In fact, you will all find that after about a month free of tobacco cigarettes and using strictly a regular E-Cig with no mod if you were to take a hit off a tobacco cigarette you will find that the throat hit you thought you were missing is not present in the tobacco cigarette! I did a test and wrote a thread about it that you can read here http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/general-e-smoking-discussion/40918-test.html that tells about what I experienced.

I think any noob would be happy with either and in fact will probably end up owning both if they stick with E-cigs.

The Secret Garden
I made the mistake of buying the Dragon because I liked the way it looked. The kit lasted maybe 3 wks including the charger. The wires were sticking out on the charger exposed. I don't think thats the way they are supposed to look. I believe the threading on the batteries and attys were wrong. I could not interchange batts & attys. I also found out they did not work on any replacement charger. So I have 2 batteries that are OK but can not charge them. What am I gonna do with them??? Notified supplier and recieved one replacement batt, which neither atty would work with. I have contacted them numerous times and no response. I even suggested my kit was not their fault and was just manufactor defect, still no reply. I haven't given up yet because it is not right to leave a customer hanging. I truely believe it was a manufacture defect and should be rectified!!!!!
This is for 3 useless DRAGON batts.:evil::evil:

ps: you notice how quickly this thread ended!!!!
