I apologise if this has been posted about before, but BBC program "Trust Me, I'm a Doctor" did a short feature on eCigarettes which actually takes an honest and factual approach. I was a little disappointed about the mention of flavours being a possible source of harm - WE know that this is probably mostly in regards to Diacetyl, Acetyl etc and what's being done to reduce the risk of potentially harmful flavouring but do the viewers? That could have gone slightly more in-depth, I believe.

The other big downside was the original attitude of the presenter, although it was nice to see an apparent change in opinion towards the end of the segment. Overall, though, a mostly positive piece and the professor they interviewed seemed very unbiased and honest.

Twelve hours this very positive video has been referenced on ECF. The place where 'vapers' go to learn. Alas, right now only four folks (including me) found time to take a gander. That's not encouraging. Makes me wonder if it's too much trouble to view or it's just not been noticed as yet. My gut says it's too much trouble and the number of folks actively crusading (or just gather positive information) is quite low.

Oh well.

I'm not sure what you mean by "take a gander" at the video. It's had over 14,000 views on You Tube. Do you mean that only four people have posted in this thread? I just want to mention that I, and I'd assume many, many others, read this forum religiously, and participate in many aspects of the battle to preserve e-cigs. Just because we don't post in a thread or engage in a specific dialogue doesn't in any way indicate a lack of interest. :)

The thread's been viewed 277 times, and the OP included a fairly thorough summation of the video's contents. I don't presume to speak on his behalf, but I think his intent in posting was mostly "Hey, there was a segment about vaping on this TV show that wasn't 100% ANTZ nonsense, so that's pretty cool." It seems rather unlikely that anyone reading this section of ECF would learn anything they didn't already know by viewing the video, so I don't really see any cause for you to be discouraged.

I saw this programme live last night for first time and was surprised they gave vaping such massive praise considering the fear and mistrust it gets from the rest of the media. I only wish the GPs that did that research had spoken to the ......s from London Transport who have now made ecigarette use illegal all over the system for no good reason.
