So, I have a trustfire multicharger that I use for my mod batteries. Will constantly leaving it plugged in damage it? Even if I don't have batteries in it, I leave it plugged in and the lights just stay green. I know literally nothing about electronics, if it is doing harm, could someone more learn'ed explain why?

I don't know for sure either. If I had to guess, I'd say your charger will last longer if you unplug it. I don't think you'll damage it, but like all things electrical, it will only last so long, and like any electrical device, it's safer when unplugged.

Yeah, that's the assumption I have been working on.

Still waiting on all the electrical engineers :D

I have a Trustfire two bay and a Trustfire four bay charger. The two bay has never been unplugged from nearly two years of service. The four bay has been plugged in since I picked it up nearly a year ago now. Both function excellently, so I would say that it's pretty safe.

Oddly enough, none of mine hum when empty. Occasionally there is a sort of electronic buzz when I first charge something up, but that goes away after a minute or so.

I always unplug my TR-001 whenever I'm not using it. I also try to pull the batteries off as soon as possible once they're fully charged. Fully admitting to my novice level experience with many electronic product, it just seems like common sense to unplug them when not in use or when they have finished accomplishing their task of charging your batts

Yeah, I've had 2 TR001's plugged in for about a year. I always wondered if it would somehow hurt the lifespan.
My thought, though, is that it's only really running an LED if no batts are in it. I have remote switches on several of my lamps and my stereo and TV are in standby mode with LEDs. I don't really see the difference?
