Do you spot any false statements. This is in regards to the DSE901
Again, my biggest concern is to verify that the information I give to customers is deemed acceptable by the e-cigarette community.

How to care for your Electronic Cigarette
  • Never use the E-Cigarette why the cartridge is dry. It will destroy the atomizer.
  • The only acceptable time to drip liquid directly onto the atomizer is after cleaning it and letting it dry.
  • If, while inhaling, the vapor tastes like burnt cloth refill the cartridge immediately.
  • When refilling your cartridges, fill it till just before a puddle of liquid forms on the top. If you overfill you may get liquid in your mouth when you inhale the first couple drags.
  • Clean your atomizer at least once a week. Do so by running it under warm/hot water and then letting it dry overnight.
  • Discard or clean cartridges that become dark brown. Clean by running under hot water and letting it dry overnight
  • Do not leave the E-cigarette batteries or cartridges in places below freezing or above 120F. Excessive heat or cold can harm your batteries and cartridges.
  • Do not continue to use the device if the atomizer becomes very hot, give it time to cool down or you may destroy the atomizer.
  • Do not continue to use a battery if it becomes hot. Either throw it away, or contact vaporstix.com if still under warranty.
Things you should know about your Electronic Cigarette
  • The average lifespan of a atomizer is approximately 2 months. It is wise to always have a spare atomizer at home!
  • The average e-smoker will use 2ml of liquid a day
  • The DSE-901 battery will last a moderate user 1/2 a day
  • Batteries will generally last 150 - 250 full charges. After which its charge capacity will drop significantly.
Things to remember, safety first!
  • Keep the electronic cigarette, liquid, and all accessories away from children.
  • The electronic cigarette is only intended for those over the age of 18!
  • The electronic cigarette is NOT a quit smoking device, rather a smoking alternative without tar and carcinogens.
  • The electronic cigarette should not be used by those allergic to nuts, nicotine, or propylene glycol.

Not sure if you want to know about typos but the first statement I believe should say "Never use the E-Cigarette while the cartridge is dry. It will destroy the atomizer."

"The only acceptable time to drip liquid directly onto the atomizer is after cleaning it and letting it dry."
I drip other times but people new to e-vaping should use caution.

"Clean your atomizer at least once a week. Do so by running it under warm/hot water and then letting it dry overnight."
Really?!?! I rarely clean mine.

I wish I had something like this when I first bought an e-cig but instead I had to read alot of stuff on this forum. Overall I think these are great tips. :D

I have a generic penstyle, and battery life has dropped significantly long before 150 charges. More like 20.... I also noticed this with one of the Classic Janty batteries.
As for dripping directly on the atomizer, Jeff at Janty told me that I could drip directly on it several times a day to keep it moist. I have done that, and my atomizers are the least of my problems (my only death in 6 weeks has occurred with a congenitally weak one while I was using JC juice). My biggest problem are the batteries, which seem to die (or become moribund) way faster than I expected. I might be a special case, though....

youre not a special case mate...batteries get weaker and weaker everyday...

like you,my problem with ecigs has always been batteries, not atomisers...

its tooo over protective of atomizers and the life of the product both atomizers and battery mainly the battery is grossly exaggerated..

two ml a day is not moderate use..

be carefull... be vague unless u want to be accused of telling lies

the real problem here is the "truth" spelt directly out directly dosnt look tooo good with the average e cig..

i applaud your intentions.. the user tips are good.. but the claimed component life based on 2 ml a day is false..

for comparison...

How to take care of and get the best results from your xxxxxxxx..

the liquid in the carts isnt the same as the topping up liquid.. . its standard 18 mg stuff.. the topping up liquid is 24 mg flue cured.. the stuff we use ourselves.... the deluxe kit has 36 mg wicked liquid.. french pipe flavour..

smoke the cart for a short while then top up the cart with liquid.. its best not to let the cart get too dry.. more vapour is produced when things are kept wet-ish.. a cart can be reused several times.. they do not need replacing every time..simply top them up from the bottle when needed and after a couple of days or so use a new cart.. if the cart is overfilled a nasty taste in the mouth will be the result.. wet but not too wet.. it soon comes with a little practise..

try not to hold the button pressed for too long.. a five or six second press combined with a steady draw should be enough.. excessive button pressing will shorten the atomizer life..

screw the atomizer into the device firmly but not too firmly.. good electrical contact needs to be made but excessive force can damage the device..

keep the electrical contacts clean.. e liquid is inherently greasy.. it builds up.. clean the points where the atomizer screws into the device when needed and give the battery ends the odd wipe..

there is no need to fully run down the batteries between charges.. a full charge make take up to five hours (green light sate) the battery will be 90% charged after about three hours.. the battery run time is several hours depending on use.. when the vapour drops off the battery needs a recharge.. pop them on charge when it suits you.. when the charge is complete the light turns green.. remove the battery.. have a fresh one ready for use.. we advise not to leave them unattended on charge overnight as a regular practice.. lithium batteries need treating with care.. the batteries are shipped fully charged ready for use.. insert fresh batteries positive terminal towards the atomizer or spring....

we consider atomizers disposable items.. again depending on use they need regular replacement.. we think two weeks heavy use is a maximum.. after that the performance drops off.. this is up to the user but dont expect them to last for ever they wont.. the only way to maintain as new performance is to replace them.. two weeks is an estimate.. with lighter use they can last longer.

atomizers can vary in sightly in thickness.. if when first fitting a new one its a little tight to screw in dont worry.. just fimly screw it in until the breathing hole is only just visible.. this will only occur with the odd painted atomizer.. once an atomizer is fitted it can be left in place until renewal time..

any problems with obtaining consumables or with the device itself let us know.. the device is new.. end user comments are welcome..

we hope u enjoy using the xxxxxxxxx.. and it works for you..

Thanks, Mr. Darcy. It's good to know that I am not alone....
Last Saturday I felt like a maniac. I had 2 or 3 chargers charging a battery throughout the day, and two batteries died on me within a couple of hours of use (I do not vape constantly, and I have 10 batteries I have been rotating). Considering that my oldest battery is 6 weeks old, I was ready to scream.... When I leave for work, I take 3 extra batteries with me, and there are 2 of them that I only use at home, because their life span is so short it's not worth separating them from the charger for any length of time.... They have to improve these things, before I go out of my mind....

im with you mate...its a huge pain in the ... buying and juggling ecig batteries constantly...

i need to get a Trog screwdriver,or hope that Jantys new line has addressed the battery problem these devices have...

im absolutely sick and tired of it at this stage...

the only way to do this darcy which i think u already know is to fit a bigger battery..

which means it cant resemble a real cig and work properly.. i expect janty to bring out a none cigarette looknig device with a bigger battery..

the totem v11 "might" be like this as well.. i say might cos as yet they dont have one made..

these things wont be cheap either.. if u have a cigar type charger and batteries i can send u for free a device we made to test out 10440 cigar type battereis..

its has a 4 to 5 hour run time.. a manual switch and the batteries dont die overnight and cost bugger all to replace.. a millions time better than a 901 battery.. do u want it.. we have test run one for over a month on the same batteries with no problem..

u will need the charger and batteries thow..

And to think that my main reason for going with a penstyle was a longer battery life.... I shudder to think the state I'd be in with a smaller e-cig. Probably back to normal ones (I already spent 5 months' worth of normal cigs in 6 weeks, but I did go a bit crazy on juice...).

I don't care if the thing does not look like a real cigarette (in some ways, that is actually better), but I would still like it to be portable and not too unwieldy (it should fit in my shirt pocket without everyone wondering what I am carring in there...).

At first, vaping while attached to my computer did not seem such an attractive option (my life already depends way too much on te computer, so it had bad symbolism), but I may have to give in, eventually (after my finances have recovered from this e-cig hemorrhage).

Hiya, can anyone tell me how long a battery should last? I dont mean per charge, rather the whole battery life? I have a battery that has just died on me after a month of use. (not alot of use)

;)

these batteries are a donkey being ask to do the job of a cart horse.. its the small smoking tube factor.. to fit in the tube the battery has to be tooooo small..

the load placed upon it by the e cig heater coil.. is four or five times what the load should be for a battery of the size in the e cig tube..

combine this with the all day and every day type use an e cig can get and the result is a very short battery life.. we expect no more than two weeks out of our 901 batteries.. by then they are on and off the charger constantly..

i said or given out this information many times.. people just dont seem to want to take it onboard... the sellers dont for obvious reasons.. and neither do the buyers for less obvious reasons..

its seems people would sooner believe a "happy bunny" untruth then a nasty truth..

the truth being our new wonder e cigs are only really fit for light occasional use.. give them some real work to do and they expire at a great rate of knots..
