I got into vaping 2 years ago, but the only thing that worked for me was dripping (for TH). Unfortunately, it wasn't a solution as I was always on the go, and I've been back on analogs ever since.

A week ago I came back to ECF, talked to some buddies, found out about the Ego C Twist and Clearomizers, and today I am vaping away on my old ADV, Halo True Pure! Just put an order in for a bunch of BWB flavors to see if I can enjoy some variety... Malty Toffee, Waffle, Menthol Tabacco, Honey Nut Flue, Applewood (and some non-nicotine Watermelon for my non-smoker Fiance so she can better understand that vaping isn't the same smoking).

I heard so much good/bad about the different brands of clearomizers, I went all out and ordered:

1 Clear eGo Mega Dual Coil Cartomizer with Flat Tip, 1 DV eGo CE4+ Clearomizer - V2 - Clear, 3 E1 Clearomizers - ReVive - v2 (SR), 1 E2 Apollo Tank (SR), 1 E2 Apollo Tank Drip Tip, 1 Kanger T2 Rebuildable Clearomizer, 1 Kanger T2 Rebuildable Clearomizer (LR), 1 Thor Clearomizer Kit, 3 HEC079-2 EGO Vision clearomizers 2.5-2.9ohm Short Wick, (HR)... I think that's it. ;)

Tried a Kranger and using a Stardust right now with no problems. I can't believe the difference between these and the old cartomziers.

I'm going to treat myself to something new if I'm analog-free in a month. I want something smaller than the ego that gives me a good TH that can be used with a tank/clearomizer. I'm thinking either the 350(?) mAh, SD keyring, or the Elips.

I've seen mixed reviews on the Elips which appears really cool at first blush - any advice for devices I might have missed?

Anyway, glad to be back on the vape, and back to ECF!

I actually am in the exact same boat- i went back to analogs for about a year after two years on the vape, and just now I'm getting back into it again. :)

As far as small form-factor units, I recently got to see the updated Ego compact units in person: I like. They're literally maybe 1/2 to 2/3 the size of the old Ego short batts. I personally use a Gripper as my daily vape machine- it's not very big at all, and lasts all day (AND you're not locked into 3.4-3.7v all the time).

As far as Clearo's, I've tried many. I have, and always will prefer, CE3's. They're a pain to fill but have always worked wonderfully for me-sometimes, if you drop one while it's attached to a mod, it will crack the plastic under the weight of the device- but that's to be expected with any plastic, imho.

Another option related to your "small form factor" needs: I might look into the "super shorty" carto's. I doubt they would be something I would use personally, but i've seen a bunch of people having luck with them- and they're really, really small.

Best of luck to you- making the change to vape isn't painless, but it CAN be pretty fun!

Thank you - I really can't believe how quickly the technology has changed for the better. I'm definitely going to put the 350 mAh ego battery on my ordering list to try out with the SD Keyring. I'm using a 650 Mah right now, and I can definitely see myself carrying around a few 350 mAHs precharged in my work bag.

I saw the gripper earlier, and it is definitely on my short-list. The only shorty cartos I found after googling have filler - are there any out there that are like clearomizers? Do you have any links? Thanks for the advice and info. :)

i have not seen any without filler yet-but there are some with clear plastic casing- madvapes.com is one supplier I know and trust, and they have them in stock- but as of a few days ago they still had some issues with their website, where I couldn't select any usps shipping options :/.
Unfortunately, my biggest supplier (until last week, lol) was caught up in some really bad PR, (the TW/ UKV stuff) and they seemed to have the best CE3 clearo's around. I was getting mine to last months on end sometimes. Ah well... Still, best not to support them in my book, but to each their own.

My other fav suppliers: goodprophets, litecigusa, avejuice (alien visions), and halo (BEST tobacco-type juice I've tried yet...but I've only had their juice for 6 hours as of now, haha)

Super Shorty 1.7 Ohm 510 Blue Cartomizer

there is the link for the clear cased super shorty- looks like someone had one that came apart on them, though- but perhaps they will get better in the futuer, or the non-plastic ones are better. I remember reading somewhere on ECF that people were having good luck with some of them.

Thanks, my friend! I'm going to have to pick up some of those Super Shorties and see how they do.

Halo, yes - as a PAD menthol smoker (previous PAD smoker as of today hopefully? :vapor: ), Halo True Pure, both 2 years ago and all day today, is the only juice that I have tried that tricks my brain into thinking I'm smoking an analog. I tried their HX3 today but it has a cigarish taste that I can't quite get into. Going to let it steep a bit to see if it gets better. I'd really like to get into non-tobacco flavors, but I don't have much of a sweet tooth.

pretty much what happened to me.. came back after like a year and a half or so.. this is what i use and i don't miss cig a single bit.. i've tried a lot of stuff but this is my daily use

provari at home
ego twists out and about

i use ce3 bottom coils.. never leak.. never flood.. no carto filler taste.. last thing you need when you start quitting is crappy vape experience..

also find a all day vape juice thats light clean and doesn't make you feel like you're eating candy all day.. fruit flavors are my thing.. i find highbrow's juices clean and light.. i can't see myself vaping some of the juices i tried that taste like candy made for 12yr olds

vaping is light years ahead of when i first tried it with weak sauce 200mah stick batteries and cartos you have to top off all day that taste like toxic fumes if you get a dry hit ..

good luck

I'm a fan of some non-tobacco flavors, but not all of them- anything with pineapple or fruit punch are definitely out of the question for me. Chocolate, mint, cinnamon, raspbery and caramel are some that I've grown accustomed to.

I also tried HX3 today, but due to running low on supplies, I doubled-up a carto that was previously loaded with a strong raspberry flavor, and it wouldn't disappear.

I found the SD keychain you were talking about- and I think I'm going to pick one up...it just looks super convenient!

Thank you! I got a "Clear eGo Mega Dual Coil Cartomizer with Flat Tip " from Discountvapers (I can't find it on the site for some reason) - This looks like the only bottom-coil cart I have. Do you know if this is similar to the CE3 bottom coils you are talking about?

I'm loving the Ego Vision that I've been vaping on all day - strong TH, great flavor, and plenty of vapor. That being said, I have a dozen different clearomizers sitting on the shelf that I have to try! I'm still confused about the CE# and revisions.

As for an ADV, I found Halo True Pure 2 years ago worked for me, and just like you are saying, it has very light tobacco and menthol flavor - not overwhelming at all. :toast:

I really wanted to like the HX3 from the description and reviews I watched on Youtube. I think I need to be off analogs for a longer time before I can appreciate a tobacco flavor other than what I'm used to. Maybe the steeping will help!

Too funny - you're picking up the SD and I just ordered some 350 mAhs. SD is next for me though!

Welcome back! I did the same thing about 3 yrs ago, tried ecigs but the technology just wasn't there yet, came back a year ago to vaping and have been smoke free and vaping since. Have fun trying all these new vape toys! bnrk

Thanks - I'm glad to hear it worked out for you. I wonder how many people there are that gave up when the tech wasn't quite there that would thrive on it today. I have some friends looking to quit, and now I can safely show them exactly what to get to start and be confident they won't get frustrated like I did.

And yes, I need to start shopping for a storage solution for all this new awesomeness!

The may not b teh most popular of the CE3's, but these are my favorite- unfortunately, they're being phased out, so I just placed an order (possibly my last for these?):

5pc CE3 SMOKYMIZER in 5 colors(Only for veteran!Discontinued) [I-B0] - $4.50 : Healthcabin Electronic Cigarettes - Wholesale and Retail
.
The only issue I ever had was with the plastic walls cracking under extreme pressure (I.e. dropping them on concrete). I take thse on all my long hikes, excursions, etc- everywhere that my other systems and atty's would die, lol. They're kind of a pain to fill until you figure out a good technique- but I will surely miss them when they're gone.

Going to have to give these guys a spin!

It sounds like you're on the right track! Everything has come a long way in the last year even. I'm sure you'll find something that will satisfy you to stay off the analogs.

Having my first cup of coffee as we speak, vaping away, and not craving an analog. When I started 2 years ago, I had to have at least one analog with my morning coffee. Life is great. :)
