at first i wanted the vtube but then i found the sigelei 30w one ... well i was kinda convinced with the sigelei but then i saw that the minimum watt for the sigelei is 7 and some people say that if you use more than 6 watt on a lets say protank you will start getting dry hits.

I used Protanks for 2 years and never got a dry hit at 7 watts... 8 maybe, 9 almost certainly.

I have a Sigelei 30w in my basket as we speak. It says 5w to 30w.

Hi, Richard, and Welcome to ECF!

Will FastTech ship to Malaysia? They have a very wide selection of stuff at really good prices, and ship for free to many many places.
This would open up a whole slew of options for you.

thanks for the suggestion, they really have a wide variety of stuff there with good prices.

its okay, well am i right to think minimum 7 watt is too much? or am i over-thinking it?

I don't think 7 watts is too much. I tried to use Kanger Protanks as high as possible, mostly up to about 9 or 10 watts but often needing to drop down back to 8.

It was a long period of my vaping history... over a year. I think the first Kanger Protank came out in March 2013. I didn't start rebuilding 100% until July 2014.

If the sigelei mod you are looking at can go down to 3.2volts, you will be safe....

The Kanger subtank is a great tank that allows you to chose between 1.2ohm and .5ohm coils that last a good while as well as a rebuildable section if you decide to try building your own coils. If you are looking to stick to the tube mods then mech mods still fire the subtank nicely but if you want a tube with VV/VW then you have limited options. Joytech makes a 30 watt called the evic supreme which is nice but the lowest resistance is limited to .5ohm and you may want to step up in wattage. While 30 watts is plenty good for a tank it is nice to have the extra power and a lower resistance limit for rebuildable atomizers. The SMOK Bec Pro is a nice 50 watt feature packed VV/VW tube that fires down to .2ohm and is worth looking at. It has a cool bluetooth feature that allows you to connect with your phone to monitor puff stats and even adjust settings from the app. Don't forget batteries with your purchase. Also keep in min that batteries slow shipping down if they need to go through customs. Hope you find what you like and welcome to ECF.

the SMOK bec does look nice.. i really like that the min is 6 and it goes up to 50.. thats really good, what tank would you suggest for it?

Richard--all this gear is really confusing when you read about it on the internet isn't it? There is just so much information a guy gets overloaded.

I have had a Ileaf Istick 20W with a Nautilis Mini for 2 months now. It works for me I vape at 3.7 volts--7.2 watts on 1.9 ohm coil.

good Luck on your journey

oh god yes... i am sure i will get the hang of it once i see one and try it with my self. its just reading things it gets biased on people opinions and you can easily get mixed up.

Even I think the Smok BEC looks good and the specification is impressive. I still wouldn't buy one though.... it seems very expensive compared to a Vamo V7. Possibly more reliable..I don't know.

I have a Vamo V5 from Fasttech which has been very good. Some people weren't so lucky...

well what tank would you suggest for either the smok bec or the vamo v7

I would say mini Nautilus as that is what I use. You can vape on them from 3.0v to 5.0v (or more) without worrying.

You won't be able to use a 20w-50w setting on the BEC with a mini Nautilus.... they are not good enough for that power.

mini Nautilus seems best between 10-15 watts.

Kanger subtank (mini or nano) seems a better choice for 20w or more.

nah this is why i wanted a more watt option mod... i only want to use a normal tank now... but so that in the future if i wanted to upgrade its possible without ordering a whole new mod.

if i do want the nautilus..

is there a certain difference between these?

and also are these the coils for them

The only difference between the two Nautilus is the Mini holds less (2.5 ml) juice, and the Nautilus is 5ml. The coils you linked are ONLY for the Mini, they each use different sized coils.

EDIT : I am probably WRONG on the coils. It seems they work in both units, I cannot find where I read they needed their own coils.

Seriously? I've always seen the Nautilus Mini ones advertised separately.

EDIT :I'll be darned, I can't find where I read they needed separate coils.

Hello everybody.

i would say my budget is around ~150$. and i really want a good quality mod,

any advice or suggestions are welcome.

thanks in advance.

Any PV below will do the trick. I suggest to start with istick (30 or 50) with Kanger sub tank mini / Delta II or with Nautilus mini if you prefer restrictive draw (mouth-to-lung)
