I'm planing on getting a Buzz Pro II (ECF version) and currently own an Infinity Pro.
Now I do know the protection circuity in these devices are second to none, but I want the batteries to be safe as possible. Belt and suspenders approach.

It seems there are 2 AW batteries that 'should' fit the Buzz Pro:

AW icr 123 16340 protected battery (3.7 750 mAh)

AW IMR 16340 (3.7 550 mAh)

Does anyone have any comments on which one is best?

Is it basically chemistry vs. a protection circuit (in battery)?

Is there concern with the lower 550 mAh and drainage of the battery?

AW icr 123 16340 protected battery (3.7 750 mAh)

I tested these and they performed very good .

I will have the Trustfire blackflame 16340 in the shop soon they came in a close 2nd in my tests and were a good price , we are getting them directly from Trustfire so we KNOW they are not BS or 2nd or copies !

Excellent! As much as I like my AWs I find these to be a better bang for the bucks involved in 14500 size. Not surprised it's holding true in 16340 also.

I keep finding myself eyeing up an RC Hobby Charger/Balancer/Discharge tester... like I really need to label every battery I have with it's exact mAh at 2A rate. Must be the Geek gene.

I ordered 4 AW icr 16340 protected and 2 AW imr 16340 550 mAh to try in BP
Ya can't go wrong with those.

Besides, if you ever end up with a straight (non-regulated) tube mod (Chuck, Roughstack Maxi, etc., etc.) or something that uses two 16340s in parallel the IMRs will work really well in those also.

The Chuck was my first mod, but I couldn't handle it at 6v. What a sissy I am ;) Still have that pretty amethyst Chuck.

I've only got one juice, in a 3.0 ohm DC carto tank that I can handle like that. I keep an 18650 around for it also. I've got a polished copper one. Dang work of art.

My 'classic' (black & brass) Buzz Pro is almost as purty and a heck of a lot more functional.

I just ordered the pro.. are the batteries they sell not the best for it? Should I upgrade them later?

No, no, no... If you are talking about the Powerizers those batts are just fine and at $11 a pair are a good bang for the buck. At what seems to be a realistic 650mAh rating they seem to last as long as anything else I've put in mine. They were just not available for a bit and we were throwing around alternatives.

Is that the batts u r talking about?

PS: Hmmm, 28 in stock. I'd have sworn they were out of stock last night but, well... I'm old.
