But it doesn't say Vtc on the battery itself, just sf us18650v and the second line has a bunch of other letters and number but I doubt they are relevant...or are they?

The Sony VTC line are all matte pine green in color, not shiney, there is a Sony 18650 that is low CDR, generally pine green in color as well, but shiney or has a sheen gloss finish, this battery is a 5amp CDR battery do not buy it for vaping.

Sony Models to look for

Sony VTC3 - US18650VTC3 - True 30amp CDR, 1600mah
Sony VTC4 - US18650VTC4 - 20amp CDR, capabale of handling 30amp CDR, 2100mah
Sony VTC5 - US18650VTC5 - 20amp CDR, capable of handling 25amp CDR, 2600mah

Link in my Signature has a breakdown of various batteries, chargers, and a list of reputable online vendors for authentic batteries, worth a perusing over, also look at @Marc411 post

Like those? Those are used in power tools.
Many samsung and sony, etc are just marked for a specific power tool manufacturer and such. Or a laptop battery, etc.

That makes sense... I've only been searching for the first line of letters and numbers I'll try the second line see what I come up with. Thanks!
No prob. I was waiting until you told me what you had ordered, but @IMFire3605 has given you the specs. Any of those are good for vaping. The 3s are high power, but low life as they don't have a lot of mAh. The 4's and 5's are rated 20 amps, but both will run higher. The 4s will go to 30 amps, versus 25 for the 5s, but at the expense of 400 mAh capacity., FWIW, the VTC4s are the only battery I use.
