Thanks for the info. Yeah, I guessed everyone's tastes are different, so I guess I should have been more descriptive of my desires. I enjoy the large cloud effect and do not neccessarily enjoy the strong throat hit. A lot of flavor is desirable for me. I have been using a nicotine level of 18mg, but am thinking I should start decreasing the level. I feel I have overcome the desire to go back to smoking cigarettes, so I guess I should now start getting my body off of nicotine.

Everyones tastes/desires/needs are different, not trying to be difficult but there just isnt one right answer. I recommend trying some sample size juices in various mixes to find out what works for you. That being said, I like 10pg/90vg/18mg.

In that case the you might like the mix I use, VG increases the vapor produced while PG tends to increase flavor and TH. I started at 36mg nic 2+ years ago, got down to 6mg and then went back up to 18 as I enjoy it more, TH was too low for me at lower levels. After much research into nic and its effects I am not so worried about cutting it out now.

PG/VG 50/50 will give you good vapor clouds. PG is what enhances throat hit. VG is thicker than PG so high VG will clog up wicks in clearomizers and wick tanks faster. 50/50 should be ok.
With the nicotine level - I'd suggest keeping with some 18 mg and having some 12mg as well. Then if the lower level isn't cutting it for you the 18mg is still there.
Having some different niv levels on hand can be useful. Even having some 0 nic can be useful - as I discovered recently.

Go to ECBlend.com and find a flavor you know you like. Order the same flavor with different PG/VG ratios and mix the Nicotine level also. You can also extra flavor the stuff. Have them sent to your San Diego address. By the time you get there they will be steeped and ready to vape. BTW, more VG=More cloud, others can get into VV and different ohm heads for the same results.

My tastes are similar to the OP. I started at 24 mg 70/30 PG/VG. I have discovered over the last few months, that 24 is way too high for me. I now use 12mg and with some juices even as low as 6mg. I now get at least 50/50 mix, but I cut the strong nic juices I have with equal amounts of VG and some extra flavoring, so these DIY juices are probably closer to 20/80 PG/VG. These vapes are much smoother and produce lots of vapor, especially with low resistance or higher voltages. To experiment on the balance between flavor, throat hit and vapor, try a variable voltage device like the Ego Twist.

Good point! I guess I have been trying different mixes, but with different flavors. Next batch will be the same flavor mixed in different ratios. So far, my all time favorite vape has been sour gummy! :vapor:

Yeah I just got an Apollo with a variable voltage range of 3.0 to 6.0... unaware of the strength to use with the ohms I had, I ended up burning up a few cartomizers. I am still working on finding the right voltage to use.

How difficult is it to make your own juice mixtures? It sounds like it would be fairly easy. Where do you buy the mixtures separately?

I"ve started making my own juice and I found that 50/50 just wasn't enough TH for me. I tweaked it to more of a 80/20@20-24mg and it rocks!
Also steeping is very important, so be patient when you get new juice and let it sit.

Start low (3.6 volts) and dial up until it tastes best to you. It's hard to burn up cartos if you start low.

Being a fairly new vapor, I'm trying to find the perfect combo of juice (i.e. PG, VG, and nicotine levels). Any suggestions?

I wasted $200 on juice before I found a few flavors that I just absolutely love now. It takes time good luck and read the reviews in the e-liquid section it will help you alot.

Tell me about it and I still haven't found the right one... I've also experienced that juice tastes different in different kinds of atomizers/cartomizers. Just ordered my first Genesis "DID" which is supposedly able to really make you feel the taste of juices and also lower your nicoteen level, but I won't be able to personally testify to this for another few days until it arrives:vapor:

Let me know how you like it, I'm considering one of those also.
