You don't have to make 5 new threads, you can just reply to someone else's as well. Greet a couple of other new members or share your opinion on something, or share your story so people can get to know you.

No. From what I've read you must wait. Every 20 - 30 minutes the forums do an update...at that point then you should be able to post elsewhere.
