Lowering the required post total from 15 to 5 would allow more users better access to the site. I've been a user (not a spammer) for weeks now and I still don't have 15 posts, because I'm not a forum power-user. I AM a tech-person, but I don't need to discuss my e-cigarette that much. However, I'd really like to have the opportunity to discuss my KR808d-1 in the appropriate forum.

Since I can't, I'll just keep discussing it here.

Where'd you get your KR808d?

Oh lord. I just read the sticky... Looks like I shouldn't have created *this* post either. This has got to be seriously limiting this forum. Since I'm guessing this isn't the sort of place where it's smiled upon for new users to give their point of view, I'll shut back up now.

My $.02 on this:

The Internet is great because it's Free. Places on the Internet (even Internet-connected devices) fail because of a lack of freedom.

WMV vs. MP3?

But... nevermind. I like this forum and I don't want to get banned for expressing myself, so I'm going to sit down and go back to the new user cave. Before I do, I'm going to shout, adamantly, THERE ARE A DOZEN BETTER WAYS TO ENSURE THAT NEW USERS AREN'T GOING TO HAVE A BAD EFFECT ON THE COMMUNITY! And, as this will be my last post on this matter, if you see my account disappear, it'll give you a good idea of how things work in the mods heads. And if it doesn't, well then I'll be very pleased to see that there's tolerance of some sort of diverging viewpoint...

:)....

I like the 808 a lot - however, if I'd designed it, it would be a tad wider, to accomodate a larger battery and cartridge - I do find that I replace my cartridge and / or recharge frequently.

That said, it's my first e-cig.

I also had a very disturbing experience with it today... the Manual Passthrough got stuck down at my buddy's house and melted a cartridge right to his desk! I wish I had thought to take a photo or keep the cartridge.

Getting banned and getting "infractions" on this site are pretty much an ad hoc thing. The mods apparently have quite a bit of autonomy...I don't know enough of them to know which is more tolerant. You're just as likely to see your post or your entire thread disappear and then you'll wonder where it went. I've had a bunch of mine deleted and never could figure out why. It just happens, like in an eerie movie where the neighbor family disappears and a new one lives next door when you wake up.

..

Before you do that - could you answer my question above. After a recent post I'm considering getting that battery. Don't know much about it. What the mAh is, how long it actually lasts for you?

Kent, they make a 380mah. It's called the mega battery. LOL
Healthcabin.net sells them. They also have them in 280mah.

Thanks Debra. So is it like the 510 where the 280mAh batt is longer than the 510 reg. or do they make the 280mAh in the regular size and the 380mAh in the 'mega' size?

I saw the one post of someone using the adapter for the 510 atty on the K8081d as the battery. Sounds like a good set up if the diameters are close.

Cool, so there are battery upgrades for the 510. I am anxiously awaiting delivery of my 510, and being a e-cig noob I am trying soak up as much data as possible. On this site, that is not hard. This forum is a major time suck! And I haven't hit my 15 post minimum yet, so I can only imagine how many hours this place will absorb from life once I am free to post at will in the other areas...

The best 'battery upgrade' is the bartleby - 900mAh - a day or two. But there is the 'mega batts' at Totally Wicked. I'm hoping for a US anniversary sale first week Dec. They had one for their UK anniversary last month - 30% off. I'll grab some megas there no doubt. Also another 5 batt charger.

But the K8081d is a bit new to me. And I'll be looking into it. All possible ways when there's a ban possibility.

Please point out what the sticky says that makes you feel you shouldn't have started this post.

There is freedom here within a code of conduct. So if having rules mean not having freedom to you, then it's obviously your decision if you choose to participate here or not.

And as a new member, coming in here and knocking how the forum is run and making comments on disappearing threads and the mods here makes me question your desire to be here. Again, it is an option....no one is forcing you.

As far as the kr808d, we have a subforum for that here: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/kr808d-1/

I'm sure it wouldn't be hard for you to go there and ask some questions or make comments to reach your posting quota.
