1.0ohm coil on a fresh batt would be about 4.2A, an efest imr 18350 should handle 6A, if i'm not mistaken, please dont quote me on this do your own research, google is your friend. So you should be fine. I vaped ~1.0Ohm coils on my imr 18350s no problems, but below that I stepped up to a High Drain 18650 battery.

VapeSafe fuse is good for 6A, I'd recommend getting one. You could vape a .75Ohm coil on that setup.

FWIW:

Watts = Volts X Volts / Ohms
Amps = Volts / Ohms

altough its imr.. my friend battery juz exploded in his pockets.. his using efest imr 18350 btw.. i think its short circuit with his keys.. so.. dont ever put ur batteries in you pockets with all those keys without some sort of protection.. u can put it in a plastic battery case..

I'm using unprotected IMR 18350 'EH' batteries from madvapes. Do you mean that he had just a battery in his pocket or his mech mod was in there and it exploded?

As long as the battery is protected you should be fine. Is that a mech you are running it on? Did you verify that it does not short out?

I'm using an unprotected IMR 18350 800 mAh battery with a sigelei #8

Protected circuits in a battery or the mod don't account for carelessness, ignorance or stupidity.

Not long after purchasing one of my very first mechanical mods, I had a protected battery hard short and go thermal. The mod had a protruding fire button like the ones below. The button got compressed while being stored in a pants pocket in a locker. The continuous firing over discharged the battery causing it to blow out its ends and melt the casing.
