New to Smokeless Image, and new to vaping. Did a ton of research about e-cigs before making the educated decision to get the Volts. Reputatable company with a great product line (they all can work together), reasonable prices, top of the line customer service, fast delivery, etc.

At first I wanted something that looked similar to analogs. I thought I'd be self-conscious using larger hardware. So I went all out and got the premium starter kit (78mm battery size), ordered 2 additional batteries, and ordered both chargers (couldn't decide between the two). Also thought I'd try the larger X2 battery (1300) and a clearomizer for use at home.

The 78mm batteries are nice; they do what they were meant to do. However, I'm really digging the X2/clearomizer combo. No need to worry about changing out a battery (especially with the pass thru, otherwise the charge can last 2-3 days) and the clearomizer lasts me a very long time (plus you can see how much fluid is there before retopping). The size is not as intimidating as I worried it would be. It's about the same size as many cigar analogs; no fear on my part to use this in public. As cindycated implied, you'll be ahead of the game if you go with the X2. If I knew then what I know now, I'd have bought more clearomizers for an entire palate of different juices and not even bothered with the 78's. But at least I have found Smokeless Image, probably the best product on the market. Happy vaping!

alright, yeah I was just curios, I didn't know of the 78mm were like bigger around then the other, but I figured out that it was just length, so they are the same diameter. so the juice is probably like 80/20 or something like that. I have been lucky enough to not be allergic to either of them so I can vape pretty much any juice. Yeah i'm going to purchase the Standard starter kit with 1 purple battery and 1 red battery, thinking about purchasing a couple of those jewel tips as well..1 pack of each sampler and pack of empties, that should get me started. Then I can add to my collection as I go on, because once you get the starter kit, it's smooth sailing from here on out, just a battery here, battery there, packs of carto's, and what not. Thanks everyone for the awesome feedback, I think I have made my decision, I hope everything goes well, wish me luck!

I'm wishing you great joy in your new choices!

I went with purple and red, too. And blue and green and raspberry...

Keep us up to date on how you are doing, and be sure to ask any questions at all should you have them.

I think most of us prefer the 78mm batteries (or the new, last-all-day-and-then-some X² batts :D), just because they last longer before needing a recharge. And they're very elegant!

I think most Volt users probably prefer the autos for the slim batteries (I know I do, even though I'm strictly a Manual girl when it comes to a different kr808 vendor's batteries). The draw on the autos seems easier, and the Volt manual buttons are kind of tiny, kind of a PITA. Volt autos are also sealed, so there is less likelihood of damaging your battery if you accidentally overfill the carto.

AFAIK, SI's juice is almost all or maybe 100% PG.

I don't use any carrying/charging cases, so I'm sorry but I can't help you with that.

+1 - I totally agree with everything you said, EleanorR - right down to not using a PCC (I just make sure I have enough combined mAh to cover me while out)

well I noticed with the Standard Starter Kit the only automatic batteries you get to choose from is black. I wanted a purple and red battery, but those only come in manual. so there is no other option of getting a colored automatic battery? I like automatic batteries myself. so what should I do then?

I just checked on the SI site and the other colors for autos are shown for the Standard Starter kit. The manuals are listed first and then the sealed autos.

I get a big list on the drop down, you can scroll down the list and the auto's do come after the manuals, and the 78's last. The red comes in both 65 and 78mm, but I note the purple is only 78mm in auto at this time. If you can't get these to show up, maybe try a different browser?

If not, contact customer service, and they will help you out!

Hey there, tattoodmommy!

One major thing you're going to be dealing with now is getting the right kinds of e-liquids! Don't get intimidated by all of the choices out there... Literally thousands of flavors and combinations.

For 3.6 volts, which Volt batteries run at, you're going to want no more than 30-40m% VG in any liquids. Anything that's at 50/50 and above has the flavor become very muted and it just doesn't vape as well.

I'd recommend sticking with Smokeless Image liquids and finding a couple favorites there first, then experimenting.

Backwoods Brew and The Vapor Room are the best vendors I know. Blue Mist Vaping also carry great products for very cheap prices, so you can experiment with them if you'd like.

Hopefully you get your Starter Kits soon and can start getting hooked on all these different vendors! I just placed a pretty massive Backwoods Brew order... 6 bottles!

But I'd love to know what flavors you got.

;)

Haha I know it's a weak order right now... Still sampling around and trying to find my all day vapes.

I got the BWB Blend, Applewood, Casablanca, Menthol Tobacco, Strawberry and Peach. The only thing is the thicker/tobacco juices need at least 2 weeks of steeping, and the fruit ones are supposed to take around a week.

Going to be VERY hard to not crack those open right away and dig in!

yeah thanks for the advice, I usually order my juice from Johnson Creek, but all they have is 100% VG which is nice but not enough flavor, and 100% PG which I don't like because it doesn't have a lot of vapor. I am buy 1 of each of the sampler packs, I'm sure I will find a favorite, "or maybe even all of them" at the SI store. I am not picky at all, the only juice that I have tried that I didn't like was Tennessee Cured from Johnson creek, sorry but that stuff is NASTY. tastes like smoked ..., pardon my french..I will check out those other stores that you mentioned as well and make sure I get the ratio you suggested.

I just put in an order at Mrs. T's Bakery Shop Ms T's Bakery

American made juices from the east coast, amazing choice of liquids if you are yearning for something unique and have a sweet tooth. Sounds like it can take a couple of weeks to receive an order, but Mrs. T is the only technician and she does each order bottle from scratch...nothing comes off the shelf for your order. Juices are a PG/VG mix and and can be ordered 6ml ($5), 10ml ($8.00), 15ml ($11.50), 2x 15ml ($21.00), 30ml ($20.75). She appears to have a very loyal fanbase. Here's a recently updated list of her top 20 most popular flavors according to units sold:

1 Snickerdoodle Cookies
2 Vanilla Custard
3 New Watermelon
4 Banana Fosters Coffee
5 NEW Strawberry Lemonade
6 Red Hot Cinnamon Candy
7 Orange Dreamsicle
8 Sugar Cookies
9 Cinnamon Roll
10 Strawberry Shortcake
11 Tangerine
12 French Vanilla
13 Gourmet Vanilla
14 Cake Batter
15 French Vanilla Cappuccino
16 Peanut Butter Cookies
17 Menthol
18 BluRaspberry
19 Strawberry
20 St Louis Gooey Butter Cake

I ordered the following in 6ml trial sizes. I also made an order for 4 more X2 Clearomizers for my go-to 1300, and a blank set of Volt cartos from Smokeless Image:

Amaretto Coffee
Banana Fosters Coffee
Kahlua and Cream
Mango
Tangerine
Orange Dreamsicle
NEW Strawberry Lemonade
Cherry Cola Slushy
Peanut Butter Cookies
Unflavored
Ms T's Sweetener

I actually did try a 100% VG flavor and liked it... But you can just tell it would have been much, MUCH better if it was lower VG. The 3.6 volts just don't heat it up enough to hit all the flavor in the VG.

Even the 50/50 stuff from The Vapor Room isn't bad... I'll be making the same exact order but with 75/25 ratios and testing to see how much of a difference it can really make!

You could always get a little sample of some 50/50 juice to see if you like it... But to me, you can definitely tell the flavor is just muted. It doesn't have the same oomph some other ones do.

Also, don't jump straight for the flavor shot! Always try them plain first, like with a sample, then only if you really want a nice kick in the flavor MAYBE try it. Sometimes it just makes them taste unnatural and chemically... Not cool!

I have been having a really hard time refilling my blu carts with my 100% VG juice. the fillament is dry I can see that it's dry so I will direct drip into the fillament and it just pools at the top, doesn't really want to suck down in there, so I have to take a needle and kinda wiggle around the filler. then it slowly gets down in there, Also tried just straight needle injection into the carto as well and I had a little bit more success with that, but it's such a big hassle having to deal with a syrup like consistency, a lot more work then I want to fiddle with..lol which is why I am wanting to get this Volt, because blu carto's are only small 306's and I have to refill these things about 3 times a day, and when It takes me about 10 minutes just to fill one when I only get like an hour of vape time out of a filled carto, just seems not worth it. I want something a bit bigger with less hassle, and better battery life.

If you like sweet stuff (it's all I vape now) my favorite vendors are Pink Spot and Mrs Ts. They're both on the pricey side, but totally worth it and are great in SI's hardware. The only juice I use that doesn't come from them is ones I make myself and Vaperite's Organic Strawberry Shortcake (SI's Watermelon was too strong for me and I don't like Grape or Cherry).

I tried numerous vendors and many are good. But those 2 just nail the sweet stuff perfectly across the board.

And the X2s are fantastic. The 1300s last a long time (don't know how long, I'm never away from a charger for very long and being passthrough, I've never ran one dead), they're still relatively small and there's no fiddling needed. Fill a cart or clearomizer with juice, screw it on and vape. Doesn't get any more simple than that.

I have been hearing a lot about the Mrs. T's. Seems like there are a lot of people recommending her. I'm going to try out all of SI's juice first. I'm really anxious to try their RY4, 555, and their Menthol. I have never tried RY4 or 555 and I heard from lots of people that if you find a good one, they taste really good. so pretty excited.
