Trying to mod: need help!

I am looking into modding and really hope someone can help I want to buy a part from a local store rather than get a battery connector.
i saw a forum about turning rca plug into an adapter but was not able to grasp that concept does anyone have a much more detailed version or their own detailed version to help me start with my modding "career"!
Again I want to make my own battery adapter any advice?

Yes I shall definitely be there I have already extensively perused the modding forum but I am going to assume that by no answers there is not a more detailed informative post that I can use? I tell ya what I have not even made a mod yet and I am already hooked!!! I also saw the Solderless Motorola-Type Inline Jack
mod but some of the pictures were taken off I shall go back there and talk and see if the pictures can be put back on there and if maybe he has innovated his model more!
