My advice is to stop buying analogs. When they are not around you will not be tempted to smoke them. I still have one a day, only because I still have half a pack laying around. Once they are gone, then I will not buy anymore.

I know, I know haha, problem is if I dont have them in the house I freak out.....but I guess I need to finally say goodbye eventually.

I think when you've got a good e-cig model and juice(s) you like, you just gotta "learn your lesson," as analogs seem to get less and less gratifying and you realize you get more direct control over the flavor, habit and experience with PV's. Well that's my outlook on it. With time you may just find yourself learning it's pointless to bother with analogs.

I freaked out without them around too. Fortunately the brand I had around for emergencies and security blanket were not even ones I liked. They were cheap lights I was smoking because I couldn't afford my faves. Try moving your cigs to the trunk of your car. Make them inconvenient. If you do feel the need to carry them on you, put them in a different pocket than you used to. Maybe carry matches instead of a lighter. Or carry a harsh brand you do not like. I did carry my cigs in another pocket for the first 2 weeks. Twice I lit one by accident and immediately put it out.

Buy a totally spare battery so you can leave your ecig set up overnight. Hopefully you don't have one of those ripoff rebrander models that charge $40 for a battery. I found it stressful right before bed, to disassemble my ecig so it could charge. Now I charge 2 batteries overnight and leave a third charged one set up right where I vape so it's right there when I get up, ready to vape.

Some people like stronger liquid flavors in the morning. Some like strong tobacco or tobacco w/ coffee in it. I like a smoother flavor for the first drags. Then the stronger flavor. I used cartomizers so it's easy to switch flavors.

If your juices or ecig are not strong enough hit or flavor, try to fix that.

Yea I bought a LUX a few months ago, messed around with the messy fillers and that was just annoying and too time consuming, I have 3 Lux batteries so I always have one charging now...I FINALLY found a juice I love and now ciggs are less and less appealing because they dont even taste as good anymore...ahhhh just those morning cigg is the pits. Im vaping 18 mg now but I have a small bottle of 24 which im saving until I take the final plunge...I just switched to carts so now its way easier to have them ready to go. Vaping is WAYYYYY more fun, just trying to let those few a day go....guess its just a mind over matter thing at this point. Thanks for the replies!

I did a trial run of 3-7 days, where I told myself, I can smoke again at the end. I went 8 days, and then finished 6 remaining cigarettes over 2 weeks, mostly taking two drags and putting them out in disgust. The longer you go without the worst they will taste. I kept the very last one over a month and finally smoked it. That was my last one months ago and I can easily vape my way through urges with a higher nic tobacco flavor that tastes most like an analog that I keep for those occasions. It makes me feel like I'm cheating when a vape it.

Games people play ..... in their head. That's me!! Even to this day I tell myself I can have a cigarette if I want one. I just don't do it because it was so bad tasting last time.

I had a lot of trouble ditching the morning smoke because of the inconsistency and hassle of using cartridges.

When I wake up in the morning I am brain-dead, and I needed a smoke right away.
And it had to work, and work right, 100% of the time with zero hassles and no leaking and no wicking problems.

Cigarettes always did, but electronic cigarettes not so much.
So I started dripping in the morning and solved all those problems.

Now I drip all the time, but that doesn't mean you have to.
Although it might just be the thing to solve your morning problems.

The first few months I found myself still grabbing an analog every couple of days. Over time they became more sporadic. After two months straight of no analogs, I decided to try one again just for the hell of it.

I couldn't get past two drags because the taste was so awful.

Time will help the cravings, and the smell (if you are hanging around smokers)... The smell used to make me feel intoxicated but now I can't even stand to think about it.

Im vaping 18 mg now but I have a small bottle of 24 which im saving until I take the final plunge...

This is what I did... (and I vapped and smoked on and off for a long time!)

I made up my mind that whenever I REALLY wanted a cig (which I didn't have, and I'd have to leave the house and go buy a pack), I would allow myself the pleasure of getting an analog... BUT... first, I'd take a few vaps of 24mg juice. If I STILL wanted a cig, I told myself, fine. But vape the stronger juice 1st!

I was able to quit. Went six weeks... then... oops.

Now back having not smoked an analog since April 1st.

Try keeping and vapping some 24mg juice that you like, for those times when you really feel like an analog!

Good luck!

I hate cartomizers.
:)

If the hassle in the morning is your problem, you might want to try getting just one atomizer for dripping.
You could use it only in the morning if need be, unless of course you find another solution.

You never did say what you were using.

I couldn't do that either. I have one sitting on my desk in a glass and I never think about it, when it was gone I did. I have a friend who quit analogs and had a pack in her purse for close to a year before she threw them away. I feel a little more in control this way. It's my decision not to smoke (analogs).

I don't crave them but in when I first started, I'd tell myself I'd wait and have one at night. At night, I'd tell myself I'd wait and if I really wanted one I'd have one in the morning. I just sort of forgot about it.

I never started vaping thinking I would quit, it just sort of happened.

Dormouse is spot on. Make smoking as inconvenient as possible; vaping as convenient as possible. I forbid myself to smoke in the house and it's cold here in Maine in the winter. I bought backups to my backup vaping supplies to remove worries of what I'd do if I ran out. When I couldn't stand not smoking with my coffee I drank a Coke instead. And I'm on my third PV - had to find one to fit my comfort level. But you have to want to quit for the mind games to work.
