Hi quitters. I just thought I would give my little bit of advice. I have been reading some struggles by those using e-cigs to quit the real deal. From my experience as far as quitting, you may want to try using a 0 mg nicotine Vape juice in combination with the patch. I tried vaping, but went Back to cigs. I am now on day 5 of using strictly the patch and they do work. So, if you still miss the habit of inhaling something, use vaping a 0 mg blend. Don't use any nicotine, it may make you sick. I smoked camel crush silver and my doctor suggested 14 mg patches, I am using 21 mg, I think he was correct, 21 is pretty strong, buckled me at the knees one night after a shower. Crazy, but true. So, if you smoke a light cig, use 14 mg patches & 0 mg Vap juice

Different strokes bro.

Personally, Any patch makes my entire body Ache constantly, and I am in so much pain a few hours later that I can barely move.

For me, Regardless of If I went back to smokes at some point or not... I think Vaping offers the best chance for a lot of folks.

And I prefer inhaling the Nicotine in a controlled (By me ) manner, as oppose to absorbing a toxin directly in to my blood stream in a constant stream.
If I start feeling not good from vaping, I can just slow down the vaping, But my APV down...

But if the patch works for you man... Good on you!

I kind of get the impression you think Vaping is a "Fake Smoke" To me vaping is vaping and has nothing to do with smoking other than being kind of similar since nicotine is being delivered through the lungs, patches never worked for me, I tried them a few times but the nicotine absorption rate is just too low to be effective to beat my cravings.

Congrats on quitting! I do see how vaping even 0mg while being on the patch could help some people :) I once knew a guy who quit smoking by chewing on cinnamon toothpicks lols.

I quit cold turkey 3 times. The patches once (get any crazy dreams?), the cig a likes once, and vape 11 1/2 months ago. I now vape zero nic. Everyone is different, but now I'm healthier than I've ever been, and the vape is more relaxing even at zero mg than any cig ever was.

I truly hope your method works for you.

I used patches with an e-cig as the #1 UK brand was not much more than a placebo.
Once I discovered I'd been scammed by the evil plastic stick pedlars (peddlers), I bought an eGo e-cig and the rest is History.

Now (these days) I can wear a patch no problem. As a smoker, I couldn't.

If e-cigs are in fact wiped out in the UK (May 2016) I shall vape zero nic and wear a patch. That is my escape plan. :)

I quit 5 years ago by using the patch. It worked fine, and I have stayed off the cigs after 35 years as a smoker.

For me, the problem was that even though I wasn't addicted to nicotine anymore, I still wanted to smoke. Which I compensated for by smoking large amounts of a substance that does not contain nicotine.

Then I discovered vaping, which has allowed me to enjoy the sensation without the harm. I also quit smoking the other substance. [removed]

I too am a bit confused. Although I am glad to hear that you found out what works for you!!! Isn't vaping doing the same thing as what you are mentioning? Have a patch (Nicotine) and vape zero mg juice. I prefer to skip a step and just vape with nicotine personally. Also a much higher cost saving just vaping with nic. Again, I am still glad you found what works best for you and sharing your input. Enjoy Life!!! That is what it is all about.
