Hello everyone,
So I've been a fan of tobacco,I've smoked cigars, cigarillos, cigarettes and even hookahs. I was usually a social smoker but at one point I got rather addicted to nicotine I guess and became a pack a day smoker. A few years after picking up smoking I went to the hospital for a routine health check up. I knew the elevated heartbeat and the persistent cough were from the whole smoking deal. The check up results came back and the docs seemed rather worried, they told me everything was fine but I should come again tomorrow for a standard procedure x-ray. Returning home I was panicking the whole way back. After a quick google search I was starting to think I had cancer. Long story short that happened 5 months ago after the doctor told me it was just a lung inflammation. Haven't smoked anything since that visit. And now after that long "cool story bro" I found out about ecigs and I have a few questions for anyone who wants to answer and did not die of horrendours boredom while reading this.
1) Ecigs that don't contain nicotine and whose vapor you do not inhale are thoeretically 100% safe ?
2) What is the best ecig ? In terms of flavor and vapor production ?
3) Best ecig kit to get me started ?

Please keep in mind that I want a simple solution as simple as picking up an ecig, clicking a button then inhaling no complicated maintenance, building etc. Unless those thing aren't that difficult and you've got some handy tutorials.

Thanks.

Hello, I am relatively new to this and like you have had a pretty good scare after two heart procedures. I have been vapeing for about three months now and I have found out a few tid-bits. My thoughts and a dollar will get you coffee but, here it is.
One, you don't have to dress like Eminem to vape, cloud chasing looks like a hoot but for a smoker to quit its not much help.
Two, a Variable Volt twist of just about any make will work fine with what ever you use, cartomizer, clearomizer, etc...
Three, e-juice, e-juice, e-juice, find something you can enjoy ALL day and keep that one hand, play with other flavors later. The Nic. levels can move up or down as you adjust your usage.

I will answer your questions to the best of my ability, but I am certainly no expert:
1; Nobody can saw with 100% certainty that vaping is safe; however, I figure it has to be a lot safer than smoking!
2: Best e-cig set-up: very subjective, I might like more flavor than you do, or you might like more vapor than I do
3: Where to start: as mentioned previously, grab an Ego battery and EVOD topper and some juice. Usually can find a nice starter set for around $40 or less. I generally recommend starting at a Vape Shop to get some help.

Good luck and enjoy

+1

I will second that nothing is 100% safe, but I strongly believe that vaping is much less harmful than smoking regular cigarettes.

Vaping with nicotine is almost certainly just as safe as vaping without it. Absolutely all the studies aren't in yet, but it is starting to look like nicotine is about as dangerous as caffeine. The most dangerous aspects at the moment appear to be the effects of heating the base liquid and the fact that we are inhaling flavours that are only certified safe for eating.

Every scientist would agree that it is not as safe as breathing fresh air and it is not as dangerous as smoking.

Most scientists seem to agree that it is at least a hundred times safer than smoking.

I also recommend an ego to start with decent clearomizers. If you search the forums you will find tons of post as to what people started with. At first you might use it to substitute a cigarette here and there, unless you are dead serious about quitting and fast. Myself I started with a vv/vw mod and Kanger protanks and quit smoking the days my batteries were charged.

Is it 100% healthy, more then likely not, but it's better then smoking and I am seeing improvements in my health everyday, I haven't had chest pains in almost two weeks. My sinuses are opening up, my breathing is easier.. and I sleep a lot better and actually feel rested for the first time my many years.

Find a juice you can vape all day long and want to vape. One of my mistakes was going with a company that was cheap and I had to tolerate the flavor because I didn't want to wait for it to steep. I still use that company for a couple juices, but I now have a nice selection and can allow it the time to steep while I use other juices. Don't just tolerate you juice, make sure it's something you really like like and have a variety.

If you start and quit cold turkey, beware of vaper's tongue around week one or two. There will come a time that your taste buds are regenerating and your sense of taste and smell are returning to normal and you may not be able to taste your juice. I vape lots of fruits and sweets and I wouldn't be able to taste them, my solution was to have some cinnamon or mint flavors shock my taste buds back into line.

Also... nothing will get rid of that urge except time and willpower to want to quit.

I believe my sense of smell and taste have improved heavily, I might go as faar as saying that they have regenerated completely.
Also what ejuice supplier do you recommend ? Most people here go for Mt. Baker

If you have the time to get juice from Mt Baker Vapor, then it's not a bad juice. I still use a couple of their juices, but I let them steep for 3-4 weeks. So it's not good for immediate use depending on the flavor you choose and like. For what I vape, I've found there is better juices out there. I use D&D Vapor because there is little to no steep time and they are very close to me and shipping time is about 2-3 days, plus my closest vape shop stocks their liquids so I can try them before placing an order.

There's also a flavor a friend just turned me onto from vapealicous that I love and and quickly becoming my all day vape.

Taste as you will find out is subjective. I stick with known vendors... like or hate them that use only known good ingredients to mix and that the average cost per ml I pay is .30 cents per ml, sometimes higher, sometime lower depending on quantity. I also buy a bottle or two from local shops that produce their own juices when I visit, just to help the local B&M shops.
