Just recently bought a tsunami g class cape pen. I just noticed the string in the tank is no longer there. Does this mean I need to replace the tank already? I still get vape when I use it but just noticed that's no longer there. New to this whole thing so sorry if this is a dumb question haha

Welcome,

The Tsunami is not well known. That is why there have been no responses. I went to the tsunamiecig.com site to see what you have. The tank has 2 wicks that do not appear to be replaceable. According to the tsunami site the wicks last 3-4 weeks, which may be generous. Once they are gone the entire tank must be replaced. A replacement tank is $6.99. They are making their money by repeatedly selling new tanks, which is actually a clearomizer, for a product that has little to no competition.

If it were me I'd replace the tank with a Kanger or Aspire brand that has a long lasting tank with replaceable coils. This is much more cost effective. Better yet, I'd recommend an Eleaf iStick 30w with an Aspire Nautilus mini or Eleaf GS M or Eleaf GS Tank. Look at these at a local vape shop to see what you like. They may not have the Eleaf GS products but it will give you an idea if it would be something you are interested in. Then, order online for almost half the price. Also, consider getting glass instead of plastic/polycarbonate. This avoids the problem with some e-liquids that are tank crackers when plastic/polycarbonate is used.

Rocky Mountain has some great prices now.

You can slap a chevy emblem on a yugo, but it's still a yugo. What you really have is an eGo styled vape pen with a CE4 clearomizer. I started on the CE5 (same tank but without the strings). I'd recommend getting an upgrade and keeping what you now have for a back up. Probably the most recommended beginner quality setup is the Eleaf iStick 30 watt (2200 mah) or 40 watt (2600 mah) mods. (Mah is battery life before recharge, yours is probably a 650-1000).
I would top the mod (battery) with an Aspire Nautilus Mini (I've had 5 Nautilus and loved them for their quality vape).
30 or 40 iStick with Nautilus Mini

And my journey, Nautilus on tall Spinner 2 in center and on iStick 50 watt on right.

As you can see, the one on the far left is probably similar to what you now use, and I paid 20 bucks for it in a cig shop. It has a brand slapped on it also, but is still just an eGo style battery.
