Interested in buying my girlfriend her first mod. She wants something that will last longer. 18650 compatible.
She also wants something that looks nice. A tube mod. I have a silver bullet and she likes the performance but she doesn't like the thickness. An SB is a little too pricey for me to get her at the moment.

Can anyone suggest me something under $70-80 that is halfway decent, comes with an 18650 and charger? Am I asking for too much at that price point?

She picked out this one originally which is only $50 and comes with two 18650s and charger
510-N Bauway 18650 Torpedo MOD
But after reading several reviews it looks like it breaks easily and doesn't work with dual coil cartos, which is what she uses.

Not sure if it's within budget but a bombshell from hotvapes.com is a great 1st mod IMO. They come in a few different colors including colors girls enjoy like pink, purple etc..

You can also get a Trustfire TR-001 charger and couple AW IMR 18650 batteries from somewhere like rtdvapor.com for pretty cheap.

Hey DTO :)

I love my bombshell but it is as thick as the SB and she didn't like the thickness of the SB.

Using an 18650 battery will require something similar in size to the Silver Bullet..a mod called the Bomb Shell is around $65 and performs as well as the SB..using the 18650 battery...there are more options but not many under $80....the Empire mod is one but its $130...check out the Bomb Shell it comes in colors and is real nice.

I've decided to get her the 510-N anyway. You just can't beat the price. $50 for the mod, (2)18650 protected batteries, (2) atty's, (1) charger and a drip tip. When you count it all up the mod is pretty much only costing you about $20.

I figure that if/when the switch goes bad on it, I will mod it myself. Get a new switch/button and just re-wiring the thing making it probably better than it came from the factory.

It's a sharp looking unit that is slimmer than a SB or bombshell, so if the switch modification works, it's would still cost less than either of those.

Plus money is tight, as stated.
