For the majority of my time since finding this site I haven't been one for posting so much as reading and learning. But I have been vaping for almost 3 years now and have had a lot of experience with different set ups such as pen style 510's, multiple ego setups, the go-go, and now finally my most recent acquisition the EZ Turbo (thanks to Cigeasy's great black friday sale).
My initial impressions upon receiving the product was that the packaging appeared well thought-out and pleasing to the eye. This is a small thing to consider, but it's always nice to see effort go into that first time you open the package ensuring a good experience from the start.
After counting everything up to make sure I had received everything, I decided to waste no more time and load up a tank with my favorite juice for the first impression. After reading the "before you begin" instructions that came with the Turbo EZ I got everything set up and tried to hold off from vaping as long as I could as the instructions said a few minutes wait gives the best experience. Alas 30 seconds later I could wait no longer. Upon the first attempt I realized something was amiss and it appeared that the button on my battery was stuck and could not function. I immediately contacted SSV2 and he didn't hesitate to provide me with a return part authorization. An important thing to note here is that all products have potential for flaws, it's the customer service during these times that really matters. I haven't had a chance to return my battery yet unfortunately, but as anyone reading this likely knows, they take care of their customers.
So the moment of truth finally, I swapped batteries and let the judging commence. My first impressions were a very light and airy hit, which worried me at first, but then I realized was very likely due to my impatience. After a few minutes had passed of me slowly taking longer and longer hits, it was beginning to feel like the tank had broken in. From that point on I haven't been able to put it down.
The flavor is very strong regardless of the juice that I use. I was afraid some of my thicker dark juices would cause issues but that has not been the case. As of today I've tried probably 15 different flavors and they all are explosive with a very clean and pure flavor. When I am going to switch juices, some of the darker ones like to linger around, but I've had great success putting the tank and atomizer into 99% isopropyl for 15 min, and then rinsing both off under hot water for a couple of minutes. It's like starting with a brand new tank every time and next to no effort is involved. Very impressive.
Throat hit has been something that has lacked in previous tank setups I've used, but that does not seem to be the case with the EZ Turbo. Strong consistent throat hit regardless of battery life. Some of my juices in fact give a little too much throat hit which I've only experienced with variable voltage batteries before. This tank in particular seems to work well with a tank full of juice or low on juice, but with how incredibly easy and clean it is to refill, it's not a hassle when you do need to refill and you're out on the go. There is also zero signs of leaking from anywhere due to the great design. This has always been an issue over time on a lot of previous tank setups I've used
Battery life has been great as well. Comparing to my go-go i would say the EZ turbo is right there with it every step of the way, which is great considering the battery is physically smaller. I was nervous investing money in another setup that didn't have variable voltage options, but I am happy to report that the EZ Turbo does an excellent job out of the box.
A piece of advise to anyone who gets it and feels like there isn't enough throat hit or flavor. I noticed that on the atomizer piece that contains the wick, there is a small rubber sleeve at the top of the atomizer. If that sleeve has been pushed too far down from the factory it can cut off the wick's ability to deliver juice to the coil. When I tried my second tank I noticed it wasn't delivering the same punch that my other atomizer did, and after comparing I saw the rubber sleeve was about a centimeter lower on the atomizer that was not working as well. After sliding it up to almost level with the top of the atomizer it immediately began working perfect. The sleeve can also slide down when your cleaning it due to the pressure of the water so just something to keep an eye on during your maintenance.
I could go on and on about the positives but at the end of the day I am really happy with the Turbo EZ and feel like this could be my go to for a while to come. If you are on the fence between this and a go-go it's a no brainer to choose the EZ Turbo. The go-go fury will be a much better competitor, and if it's as good or better than the EZ Turbo then you can't go wrong with either.
