I'm thinking about picking up a couple but have never soldered anything onto Li-Po's is there a special process and equipment required ?

Hopefully someone who has used them will give a for sure response, but I would imagine they come pre-tinned ready to solder.

Hmmmm.....I wonder if I could use these to replace the 14500s in my VVPV. It already has onboard charging. Any thoughts?

Just got a few of these and just fully charged one and put it on my Battery Analyzer at a 5amp discharge test / graph. I pulled the plug as at 800mah into the discharge the battery temp was at 120f. I can do this on a AW 1600mah IMR cell and the temp barely goes over 80f throughout the whole discharge.

This cell hit 120f at a 4c discharge I don't see how it would be a 15c cell!

Interesting though to be fair it is a lot smaller battery than a 18650. I have had these up to 5a in mods and didn't notice much heat but I wasn't looking that closely for it. Handles high drain very well as far as voltage stability.

60 deg C = 140 deg F.....
