Beatiful forum! Thank you for all the time and effort :D

I think I have, however, become too consumed, LOL All the info is now sending me in circles and I cannot decide which model to buy. I (think) I have narrowed it to 2 choices, but could use a little extra help.

Little background on me and what is going into my decision...

I am 33 and have been a smoker for 20 years :| yep, started young, and have never taken a reprieve. The husband also smokes, but has no intreast in quitting or joining my ecig experience. I work as a medic so am away from home and in a truck or car the better part of 14 hours a day if not longer, which is really influencing my decision.

So, I like both the 510 and the KR8. I am leaning to the KR8 I think, but would love to hear from those that have both the pros and cons. I did look for a comparative review first. If I missed it please excuse the oversight!

reasons why I am leaning to the KR8 is it seems to be easier and cleaner to use and has a longer battery life. I would like to make sure these arent misconceptions before I purchase, and I am getting anxious to purchase!!

I like the 510 because there seems to be more vendors, parts, etc. but they seem messy with the dripping and dipping. Something easy to use might help the hubby join the bandwagon ;) And, purely vanity here, I LOVE those Copper with the blacklights, LOL

Anyways, any help is appreciated, thank you so much!! (in advance :p)

Ok I've used both and both serve their purpose for me... but by the sounds of it the KR8 is the choice you should make..... they are easy and can satisfy the urge .....

PROS

easy to use
not as messy
and growing in popularity....

cons

if you vape them dry meaning all of the liquid out and get a burnt burnt taste it maybe too late to recover the flavor if you decide to refill

can be more expensive than the 3pc model if you choose not to refill.

you can find more info here at the model specific forum as so if you want to look around for the best deal

KR808D-1 - E-Cigarette Forum

now if you want a variety of choices of flavors then vapor4life.com currently has the most pre-filled flavor choices and a variety of colors and "styles"
Also if you like the support group mentality then you can go to their subforum and find a really close community of v4l lovers.

Vapor4Life - E-Cigarette Forum

cigeasy.com has good flavors as well

puresmoker.com has them too and has a good rep

give the KR8 a try they seem to be a good starter for you.... don't go overboard with your first purchase a couple of batts and some cartos and maybe one bottle of eliquid to sample JUST in case you want to refill ( which is probably the only was you can get more bang for the buck)

if you want to order direct from china you will get sweet deals and good customer service from healthcabin (also has a subforum) HealthCabin - E-Cigarette Forum they are also building a variety of flavor and color choices

hopefully this helped and good luck on your journey

The only negative aspect about the KR808D-1’s is you have to be careful with the cartomizers. I use cartomizers on all my devices and I love them, but you have to keep them moist at all times so that you do not burn the polyfill material.

The 510’s produce more vapor, but the KR808D-1’s, in my opinion, produce a better throat hit and taste significantly better. Overall, both are good devices.

Cartomizers do provide more flavor and throat hit, but don't be so quick to brush off the 510's. They produce a great amount of flavor, throat hit, AND vapor. I, personally, recommend the 510 to the curious because it not only gets them into e-cigs and the enjoyment of quitting analogs, but it gets them more familiar with the independent parts of an e-cig. It helps them learn how to care for their e-cigs more efficiently.

That's just my take on it. The KR808 is a great model. You made a wise decision!
