Ok time for a bump

I received this bad boy today and the rest of my mods are jealous for me spending so much time with this "cheap floozy" haha.
I have never been so satisfied with a stock mod, especially one for less than 20 dollars.
I did a side by side comparison with my Gus G22 (replaced brass contacts) with a new eFest 18500 and my new TVS Diablo Clone with the same atomizer (agi wrapped at .4) and the same battery configuration. The TVS clone hits just as good, if not a little better than my g22.

The only things I've had to modify as of a days worth of vaping were;
1. Gluing in the bottom o ring to avoid losing it (as I tend to do)
2. Tightening the top of the bottom firing switch/connection: if it is not screwed together all the way, it will misfire if you sit it standing up vertically. (Shes a heavy one and the weight can cause it to fire if not fully tightened) The button sits some what close to the "fire prevention" shape at the bottom base of the mod, so securing it in place will prevent all (hopefully) misfires. I may end up shaving the fire post down to further protect myself against misfires.

All in all, this is a great mod (not even mentioning the ridiculous price). The voltage drop is nearly nonexistent IMO. And I plan on buying a few more before the price is (inevitably) raised when in high demand.

Thanks china! :)

i also got my tvs all brass clone today, weighs twice as much as the sentinel, i love it. hits just as hard as the sentinel, so i don't regret not getting a brass sentinel too. sentinel aluminum was great right outta the box (aluminum is a better conductor than brass by 2x), AGI fit's absolutely flush on it, with no gaps d/t the floating center pin of the sentinel. the diablo clone i had to do some modifications to. had to sand a bit off the delrin cup that houses the positive pin, as my agat2 and cobra clone 510 connections could not reach the pin. i then sanded the top cap of the diablo all the way down to the point where the air flow channels in the 510 connection disappeared (so i sanded about 1mm or so off the top). i did this to eliminate the slight gap (non existent in the sentinel clone out of the box) which is similar to what i did to the sigelei 19 top cap, creating a flush look. also, when i screwed in various attys, there would be a slight gap on one side, but no gap on the other, like the atty was not in-line with the mod. so i sanded some more, and some more and now the gap has been eliminated totally and im very satisfied with it. i also screwed in the button all the way so it is recessed inside the switch housing and still fires great with a minimal throw - i think that's how it was meant to be set-up, as it lacks a lock ring. all in all, i think i prefer my aluminum sentinel (after using the tvs for a day, i think i prefer a lighter weight mod) but the brass tvs is nice, and it looks great with my rsst on it.

OP, you got yourself a great mod coming in the mail! I personally was not impressed with the craftsmanship in terms of the sanding i had to do to the delrin and the top cap (finish was great on mine however) to get all my attys to fire and sit flush and not look tilted (it was quite bad when i put my rsst on at first, i thought i misthreaded considering how it was leaning). but i think i just got unlucky and got a slight machining mistake in my mod. i have not heard anyone else complain about it. but yea, sanding those two areas and screwing in that button all the way up (it will still fire) are all i had to do to, none of which are related to the actual vape which is superb out of the box. last thing i'll do to it is some noalox treatment that i give all my mods.

sanded top cap down quite a bit, you can see the 4 air flow channels in the 510 connection are gone. so this is relevant probably only if you are going to use an RDA or genesis style atty with this mod.

here's the button recessed a millimeter or so into the switch cap. just screw that button in with your thumb

here is the center-pin side of the delrin that i sanded down a bit, perhaps a millimeter or so.

you can see how the other side of the delrin is now recessed into bottom of the top cap (sanding this side of the delrin would not make the center pin move up, you will see why when u get the mod and take it apart). when i got it stock, the delrin was flush with the bottom rim. so essentially the center pin is that much further up in the 510 connection, and it is "floating" so i was able to screw my atty in flush with the top cap then tighten up the mod.

That is great to know, and thanks for the feedback.

I had exactly the same problem with my sentinel clone re the bottom firing pin. I found it easy to solve though, by doing as you say.

I also like the fact that a lot of these cloned mods, work brilliantly, straight from the box.

Yes indeed, thankyou china.:D

Thanks very much, for that detailed information.

I am hoping that i don`t have to do any modding to this mod, But if i do i will know how to do it.

Thanks again.:thumb:

you got it man, i was gonna say the same thing: hope ur mod works great outta the box! it is all simple fixes. the button thing isnt even a fix though, it is a requirement, like screwing on the top cap or inserting a battery. the 2 points of sanding were the only mods done to this. i could have sanded 4 or 5 diablos in the time it took me to type all that and take the pics and post em, so it's no really tough. sanding the delrin was essential for me to make contact with my atty, literally took me under 20 seconds, maybe less, using some 150grit paper. the top cap sanding is optional and totally an aesthetic thing.

PROBLEM SOLVED.
Several times a day, the head of the bottom firing pin would loosen and push the button further out that the housing, causing misfires.
I simply applied a small amount of yellow Teflon tape (ribbon like and thin, used to seal threading on gas pipes) to the threading of the bottom firing pin, and then screwed the pin back into the threading and it is holding tight!
IMO it's a less invasive than securing it using crazy glue or lock-tight, so disassembling the bottom switch is still possible, but never accidental ;)

Wow that is such an easy fix,

Luckily mine has not come loose, since i last tightened it, but good to know there is an easy fix if it happens again.

Cheers,

I wanted to use mine with an 18350 flat top. I put the battery in and tightened the mod all the way down, but the battery in mine doesn't seem to make contact.

Other than that, the mod is a nice piece. The button, center tube, and the top on mine are tarnished so it almost looks like something found in an antique shop. With an 18650, the mod is quite heavy. The button is light and responsive, although it doesn't have a locking feature.

For the price this mod is worth it. I just wish i could figure out a way to use an 18350 in it.

well, you could either get some button top batteries, or buy a spacer.

May I ask how did you remove the derlin insulator from the topcap? Because I need to clean my positive pin, thanks!!!
