I have had my mega atomizers for about a week but was mistakenly sent regular carts with them. I received some mega carts today, broke in the mega atomizer with about 30 or 40 hits, and then I refilled it fully to see what it was capable of doing. I used a piece of blue filter foam as a plug, the same size that I cut them for use with a regular cart. The mega cart will hold about 25 drops of liquid using the blue foam mod.

I took normal drags, each lasting about 2 or 3 seconds, and counted how many good hits that I got without having to refill it or take it apart to mess with the wick. I got 100 hits off of the full cart, with hits 99 and 100 starting to taste bad. The foam was mostly dry when I checked it after that. The first 30 or so hits were notably wet with lots of liquid bubbling which could possibly be solved with a slightly bigger piece of foam than normal. All of the hits that I got after that were smooth to the end.

If you are looking for a way to pack around 100 solid hits in one unit without having to refill it then I would highly recommend these.

In case anyone is wondering about the lengths, I did some measuring:

Mega Battery / Mega Cart = 5.75 inches

Mega Battery / Regular Cart = 5.375 inches

Regular Battery / Mega Cart = 4.75 inches

Regular Battery / Regular Cart = 4.375 inches

By any chance did you try the unit as it came? With regular fill? Most newbs aren't familiar with the mod and unfortunately my pet store doesn't carry blue foam. I use the ZFM in my regular 510.

DaBrat, I didn't try using it the with the stock filler, but if you do I would suggest making a plug with it like you would do with a piece of blue foam. Just looking at the filler, I would cut 1/4 of the length of it off, then fold the remaining length over itself a couple of times to make a good plug for the end of the cart. I think it would work relatively well.

I don't think it would work that great with just using a loose long piece of filler because honestly I don't think that works very well even with regular sized carts. You just end up wicking all of the liquid from one end and the other end is soaking wet but not in the reach of the atomizer. I think a simple plug mod of some sort is necessary to really get the full potential out of these.

I have to say, I was really impressed getting 100 solid vapes off of one cart with it. I don't know of anything else you could do that with.

Might have to get a batch of these to try on the V2. After a few day with my new friend I'm leaning towards 510 attys on it. Tried them all. 510 just more reliable. Blew out a 901 in about 24 hours. Trying to master these cartos, i think its the juice inside cause im getting vapor, but not thick vapor.

Well, I got a Tornado yesterday, as well as a few mega attys and mega carts. Unmodded, the regulars work better and last longer. I can't get a mega to provide more than 5 hits or so before 'the taste' happens. Upon inspection, the filler is dry where it contacts the atty and is soaked 1/4 inch above that. And of course the cart is still full......I could be doing something VERY wrong though, this is my first 510 device (been using a KR8 for a month or so) and so the 3 piece world is very new to me. There are so many cart mods out there, and all claim to be THE ONE, that is until 2 days later when either something else comes along or the drawbacks come to light (nothing is perfect, yet) and it's declared not so good. So I'm lost. Straw mod? ZFM? Plug, dart, slug, vents, tiny windmills, sharks with lasers on their heads, flux capacitors???? I don't know what to do. Guess I'll just tinker and experiment.

I'm planning to get some blue foam tomorrow and will give the 'plug' a shot. The ZFM looks interesting to me, but the vacuum problem Scottbee pointed out in his Micro Juice Box thread would be more pronounced with a larger chamber. I'm intrigued by his idea of a burp valve, but even something as simple as his ball valve is beyond my meager skillz. Perhaps I or someone else will think of something that can be done by people like me, who's modding kung fu is weak so far.

I'm open to suggestions, because (coming from a KR8) I don't like the idea of having a bottle with me to top up every 10 minutes. Till then, when I'm out and about I'll be using cartos with an adaptor on my Tornado, which kind of defeats it's purpose....

On my 510, my filler material is dry when I'm done with it, or pretty close to it. The only problem I see...especially with the High Voltage PVs is the cost of the mega attys. Any way you slice it, you're still going to get limited use (4-8 weeks standard) out of an atty, and the 6v PVs seem to burn them out faster than that. I just don't see how paying more for an atty is worth it. If you have money to throw around, that's one thing, but most of us are trying to get our out-of-pocket expenses less than we had with analogs.

I have only used my Mega 510 on my 3.7 and 5v mods. So far the attys and the carts are holding up well. If you are concerned with dried up filler in your carts try look into some of the alternate cart fillers like the blue foam. I use them and they are just fine.

It's nice to see someone post a success with the high voltage PVs and attys. Everything I've read trends toward the "bummer, it keeps eating my attys". Some of those high voltage PVs are attractive, but I'd hate to spend tons on attys.

People need to remember 6v needs a good hv atty. If it does not say hv dont use it on anything over 5v or else

1. The hit will be harsh
2. You will blow the atty!

I tried the hv attys from eastmall on a 6v mod and they are massively harsh, I am going to get some from inhaler and from vaporkings and try those on 6v and they also have some for 7.2 at vapor kings too.

I have tried eastmalls and they work fine maybe you need to use more jucie, they really need more juice at HV Vaping, I also have been buying from Imeo for a long long time, his are awesome, order some from Rob at VK and you will like those. just remember HV Does run on a bit more juice, also make sure you really really prime them extra good, I actually fill my Atty with the juice im going to run in it and let it sit in the whole Atty for a bit then I pour it into a small bottle, vape on it for a bit pour more in vape it a bit and once more, then it is really ready to go..!!!
