Twas the night before vaping
as i looked for a lighter
I thought to myself
the future needs to be brighter:2cool:

I need to make a change
but what am I to do?
Lozengers, try a patch..
More gum that I can chew?:?:

I said there must be a way
so on google I went to dig,
hmm whats this contraption
they call it an ecig?:)

I raced off to the local 7-11
and got my starter kit..
with a few quick menthol puffs
I thought wow what a perfect fit!

I immediately joined this forum
and created my noobie post
before I could even blink
3 replies and a toast!:toast:

I learned all new words
analogs, mods and E juice
how to stealth in the mall
and if my pv comes loose!

So now here I am
I hope you dont find my poem lame
and even if you do ?
who cares, no one knows my real name!

So thanks to a site
who keeps us all in the fight
Happy Holidays to all
And to all a good night!

Starrynight. Very nice poem and welcome. Would you mind if I passed your poem on to some others that are wanting to know about vaping? Its OK if you say no and I'll understand. Thanks and have a Great Holiday Season:laugh::vapor:

Welcome Starrynight, your id made me think of a beautiful song (Vincent) . Lol I've changed some of the words but it's not as clever as your lovely poem. (Hopes Don Mclean doesn't mind :D )

Starry
starry night
paint you’re your e-cig blue or grey

look out on a winter’s day
with eyes that know the
darkness of your soul.
Shadows on our lungs
sketch the trees and the daffodils

catch the breeze and the winter chills

in colors on the snowy linen land.
And now I understand what you tried to say to me

how we suffered for our nicotine
how we tried to set us free.
They would not listen
they did not know how

perhaps they'll listen now.

Starry
starry night
flaming cigs that brightly blaze

swirling clouds in violet haze reflect in
smokers eyes so full of shame

Colors changing hue
morning coughs no longer there

weathered faces lined in pain
are soothed beneath the e-cigs calming vape.
And now I understand what you tried to say to me

how we suffered for our nicotine
how we tried to be set free
perhaps they'll listen now.

For they could not love you
but still your love was true

and when no hope was left in sight on that starry
starry night.
You took your e-cig as smokers often do;
But I could have told you
Smokers
this world was never
meant for one
as beautiful as you.

Starry
starry night
portraits hung in empty halls

frameless heads on nameless walls
with eyes
that watch the world and can't forget.
Like the stranger that you've met (on this lovely forum)

the ragged breath from smoking cigs

The butts discarded everywhere
lie crushed and broken
on the virgin snow.
And now I think I know what you tried to say to me

how we suffered for our nicotine

how you tried to set me free.
They would not listen
they're not
list'ning still
perhaps they never will.

I so enjoyed that, thank you Starrynight.

Welcome and you'll find out soon enough that spending time here will keep you up late!!!
Oh, the loss of sleep.

Dont worry, the loss of sleep will be made up for by better breathing and increased energy to compensate. Even sleeping less, I still feel better than two months ago.
